Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and all facilities good.
On the night we stayed there were some rather noisy people in the room next door, which did disturb us, but that is not the fault of the hotel.
Good central location
Extreme lack of cleanliness
The location was brilliant, the staff were lovely, asked for another pillow, milk and coffee for room and were given it straight away, Breakfast was adequate apart from the sausages!!
Very run down, carpet stuck together with tape in a lot of places, stains on bedroom carpet and something brown and very dodgy looking splatted over the bathroom door & walls but would have easily been washed off. Think they should sack the cleaner!! Only there for 2 days and didnt spend much time in room, Bed was comfortable and clean, shower was fine so we put up with it but wouldnt want to stay there for a whole week.
Staff were pleasant.
Parking was a nightmare and the ceiling in our room leaked.
Dated decor. Noisy kitchen staff early in the morning.
It was a nice room with a nice view of Brighton pier.
I didn't like the fact that there was no iron in the room and there was no plug to put the kettle where it was placed.so we had to plug the kettle on the floor
Hotel very date in need of a good face lift inside breakfast from 8:pm only not good for the working person. Beds uncomfortable rooms small.
Location, sea view from room
The bed was broken so sleeping was an impossible and painful experience, really tatty decor and flooring, no hairdryer or iron in room, this place just needs some attention to detail and thought and it would be a great guest house. Sadly currently it's not great.
Staff were helpful
Terrible matress Broken furniture
I had an enjoyable stay staff very friendly breakfast nice ,
hotels location is great. Hotel is near the beach and in the centre of brighton
Bed wasn`t comfortable, hotel was so old, Parking is nightmare, big problem. You have to park carparking. Wc-shower was so old and noisy.
The location is excellent as well as the staff
I dont like my room because the bed was not confortable and I didn't have a good night sleep at all.
The location 2 minutes walk from the pier
Being woken up by the builders outside at 7am. Also the room looked very run down, needed some tlc and our door didnt shut properley.
Location, friendly helpful staff satisfying breakfast. Beautiful old Victorian house that needs updating.
As said by many others, small room, had to ask for hot water to shower and shave, no bedside lights, water dripping outside window, noisy banging doors, decor non existent in bedroom, the whole B and B needs TLC
Good location, available for a late booking (4 single rooms)
Breakfast inedible, coffee foul, room window was difficult to open
The team in the hotel were friendly efficient and helpful. Good location to city and beach.
Lack of security room door, grubby windows and attention to detail on cleaning. Bed linen clean but valance needs changing. The decor leaves a lot to be desired in the bedroom as it looks like it was furnished by a primary school project.
It was so close to the pier! And shopping! Close to supermarket and other food outlets. The staff were very helpful!
Areas not commonly seen were not well cleaned. Breakfast was also slow with poor presentation. But it's free breakfast so can't really complain.
the sea view
We liked the staff as they were very helpful
The hotel needs refurbishing
Very polite and attentive staff. Provided me an early breakfast on the day of my departure.
No ensuite toilet, just a shower (?!). The toilet up the stairs was in poor shape. Wifi was poor even in the lounge.
The location is very good. Near everything.
I didn't like the shower cabine in my bedroom. It was very very small. I also didn't like the bed. It was very small and inconfortable.
Size of family room big with outside patio. Breakfast facilities good with friendly staff.
No hot water, very Luke warm. Almost showerable! Not lock on toilet door, kept flying open with the wind. Not ideal with three girls sharing. Thanks
Location, Staff, Excellent Breakfast, comfortable bed, lovely view of the pier from our room
The whole place needs a lick of paint and a spruce
The view from the window.
1.Filthy carpets throughout the hotel. 2 Bedroom sink very cracked and chipped and dirty. 3. No toilet in the room. 4. No WiFi in room. 5. Limited tea bags - 1 per day.
