Conveniently situated, Best Western London Higbury overlooks picturesque Finsbury Park and is a 5-minute walk from Finsbury Park Underground (subway) Station, providing excellent access to central London. All rooms are newly refurbished and well furnished, with private bathrooms and satellite TV. There is a relaxing hotel bar and an inclusive continental breakfast buffet is served in the dining room. Costello Palace has just been renovated, and is in the process of becoming a Best Western Hotel. I got a large room which was clean and was good for an overnight stay. The room facilities were good with new shower and flat screen TV on the wall. There wasn't much room for clothes (small rail) but this hotel is fairly simplistic. Breakfast was continental with various pastries, cold meats, cereal ,toast and fruit. Only a 2 minute walk to Finsbury Park tube and about 10 mins walk to the Emirates stadium.

Room was spotless and very quiet considering we were on a busy road. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was only a five to ten minute walk from the tube. The room is quite small although no smaller than other rooms we have stayed in in London. Breakfast was adequate but limited. It was just enough but do not expect a cooked breakfast.

We could move to a more quite room without any problems. (With front to a quiet backyard instead of the noisy mainstreet). Breakfast much better than expected. A bit too hot. No ac in the room.

Helpful and friendly staff. The room was well appointed and clean with everything you could need on hand. Excellent location, only 2 minutes walk from Manor House tube on the Picadilly Line and roughly 12mins to Kings Cross. Occasional vibrations from the tube trains passing close-by, but that's just a very minor niggle.

Hotel was spotless, very well maintained. Staff was excellent at all times, greeted you with a smile, and extremely efficient. Wireless high speed Internet is free, contrary to info still showing on booking.com as paid. Single room was quite small, but practical. Location is good, opposite Finsbury Park, and the Tube is about a 10 minutes walk, and central London is about 15 minutes away on the Victoria Line. Lots of shops and restaurants closeby. Also perfect for anyone who wants to go watch Arsenal at home, close to the Emirates Stadium.

The cleanliness of the room and quality of the fixtures and furniture etc. Comfortable bed. Very friendly check-in girl. We went to a party so 9:30am was too early for us to have our breakfast on the Sunday! We would have preferred a room away from the busy main road. The rooms weren't very well soundproofed.

Staff assistance was excellent and also the Hotel was Eco-friendly and that was good. The carpet on the floor is disgusting. Although we booked for a double bed room, they gave us two small separate beds which could not be pulled together. I don't know what the Brits mean by double bed. As a couple we were sleeping on different beds. Its good value for money though compared to what is available in London.

Bout the only thing any good was the shower. Location, my room was very small and at front of hotel. Noise from passing traffic on 7 Sisters rd was horrendous. It ends about 1am and starts again about 5am. No individual heating control of room done by hotel when they decide. Room fluctuated from too hot to too cold. Can't open window to cool room due to traffic noise. All in all not good will not be staying there again. Room too small, expensive, hot/cold, noisy, breakfast served too late 7pm.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the comfort and cleanliness of the room, and the variety of breakfast options that were available. Furthermore, it is a short walk away from caledonian road tube station which is one stop away from kings cross. The only down side was the noise of traffic outside as our room was at the front of the building.

We were at an arsenal game and it was an ideal spot.. But the problem I had was booking by phone with my credit card. I live in ireland so when I rang the hotel with my details I was told my card had no funds on it... It is not something you tell your paying customers. And I was after paying for my flights with the same card.. So when I landed at the hotel I was asked to pay on arrival. I used the same card and there was no problem... Sort it out and you have a lovely little place.. Dave
