Cotford Hotel  

The welcome, the ambience, the friendly staff, the decor, the superb food.

We had single rooms which were on the small side but very well appointed and light and comfortable. I would love to have prolonged my stay but unfortunately my friend who came with me had to get back home. nb on question one I had to put "group of friends" but in fact I was accompanied by a younger friend for the RHS Spring Show.

Unheated shower room and toilet; dreadful water flow on shower, almost unusable. Standard double.

Very friendly service, outstanding food, comfortable and relaxing.

Lovely lounge with fire and nice bar area. The location of the hotel was very good and only a short walk to the theatre. In addition the restaurant was excellent and we will definitely eat there again as we attend Malvern theatre on a regular basis.

Rooms were very small and the bed was not a full double and not very comfortable. Had the bed been mentioned when I booked I would have upgraded. Also my daughters room had the door handle falling off and a constantly dripping tap. Only small things but they did let the place down. However, I have stayed in various hotels in Malvern and overall this was the best and I would recammend it.

Very clean and welcoming. Staff very helpful and pleasant. If ever in that area again will definitely stay again.

Shower/toilet area was too small to dry myself properly after a shower! Probably need to lose weight! Everything else was perfect.

All the reports justifiably praise the excellent cuisine, and it certainly is as good as these reports suggest. It's worth noting, too, that Chris and Barbara Morgan have created a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. There is an agreeable hubbub at mealtimes and around the hotel - it's not stiff or stuffy. The youngish staff are serious and conscientious and obviously well-trained. Even though all the guests seemed to converge at the same time for the evening meal, this was manged gracefully and efficiently by the staff. The pre-meal drinks in the bar wwere a nice option. The hotels location makes it easy to walk around the town or up to the hill. Perfect for a few days walking. Barbara phoned us on the day of our booking to ask if we would want a meal on the evening of our arrival: a nice touch as the restaurant seems to be very busy in the evenings.

excellent breakfasts, although coffee could be improved. swiftness of breakfast order being deleivered was amazing. Had on evening meal in restaurant that was excellent. Bathrooms a bit tight but clean and acceptable

Bathroom had everything you needed albeit it was quite small. One little niggle is that water from the shower went hot then cold. Would have mentioned it to Reception but we were in a rush to check out.

An architectural gem in a lovely location, the interior is a successful fusion of old and new. Dinner menu was superb and well priced with a real attention to detail and flavours. I d return anytime.

Welcoming staff, location, architecture, food, gardens and not forgetting Hector. Overall, really satisfied. Would definitely consider staying again.

Pokey room, small bed, bar closes if no one is in it at 11pm which isnt much good if you want a nightcap after pub closes

Efficient friendly staff. Extremely clean and everything worked. Good bed. Very comfortable lounges. Met the scrambled egg test at breakfast.

Bedroom a bit small so became a little cluttered with luggage and clothes.

The whole experience was extremely enjoyable. The food was outstanding, the service exceptional and the hotel was very comfortable.The location, just a five minute walk from the centre of Gt Malvern, was very convenient and we were able to walk onto the hills straight from the hotel.

I had booked this hotel for my daughter and her husband, the opinions are theirs. They were very happy with the accommodation and delighted with the standard of the restaurant. They tell me they would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to any one travelling to Malvern.
