Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation. Helpful and polite staff. Good breakfast selection. Would stay again if in the area.
Minor niggle: better signs to find the hotel reception when on the estate
Lovely setting, although it was dark when we arrived but I could see the lights of Broadway and know the area very well so already knew it would be a great location. Quiet and just what we needed whilst going to a family party in Moreton in Marsh so didn't need dinner or breakfast.
It was dark when we arrrived so finding Reception was not very easy. The lighting could have been better as it was also very foggy. Although we could get breakfast at my Mother's, it does annoy me that hotels charge extra for breakfast these days. It just seems like a way of getting more money out of people.
The estate, appearance of it. Quietness Parking Well equipped rooms Walks available on site. Proximity of Cotswold villages.
Long way from main road Hilly terrain difficult for elderly or disabled Walking distance rooms to reception area. Limited menu for evening meals.....food and wine
Both my wife and I love the quiet and relaxing surroundings of the picturesque 400 acre estate and its wildlife. The staff are very efficient and courteous but most of all they are all extremely friendly, happy and very helpful. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Farncombe Estate to all our family and friends.
The set period and times for lunch and dinner could be made longer than the 2 hours currently in place.
Staff knowledge and attitude. location and grounds
More 3 star than 4. Over priced for what you get.
The 'non-hotel' experience. The Restaurant and its relaxing bar area ambience. The Reception staff. The location and views. The peace and quiet. The space.
Its great....we will return soon. As long as you are not expecting a Country Hotel you will enjoy this. You will need a car! There is a hill.
Friendly accommodating staff from Managers to cleaners, great location for visiting quaint villages and good food, breakfast excellent. Rooms clean and spacious.
Will definetly be heading back, i really like how it is set away from everything and the views are to die for.
The lack of bathroom supplies ie. Toothpaste and shower gel and shampoo.
Lovely rooms and lovely location, excellent views and scenery
It's a bit of a mission to get to, very steep hills, and I slipped on the steps down to reception :-(
It was a very good place to stay
Beautiful location and quiet
Our second visit. Paid more for this visit than our visit in August therefore expected a superior room but was not the case.Cannot understand how pricing is calculated as I would have thought that August is more popular than October! Only one bedside lamp which was not acceptable as most rooms have two.Wardrobe was next to the right hand side of the bed therefore no room for bedside cabinet and lamp.
Very good wifi, nice view from the hill, big shower in the room
Isolated location, very good for groups and team buildings only, room was not very cosy
We were misled by Web site... bedrooms were shown for the hotel part of estate but we were house in the business centre which was like a travelodge. We left after the first night of a 3 day stay because we were plagued by mosquitoes and flies .
Nice location. Good views. I enjoyed the dinner especially the full English breakfast.
The room had way too many dead flies. Room felt like a modern hotel room.
Very clean conference center in the beautiful Cotswolds on the top of a hill in a beautiful estate. Gorgeous views. Rooms and meals were very good.
The "small" double was truly small. Very clean and bed comfortable but it was pushed up against the wall.
The place is very good. Private Farm & Large!
breakfast is good. but the dinner is expensive & not tasty,
I thought it was billed as a quaint b&b. Reality it that it is a purpose built conference centre with cafetaria styled restaurant - it was generally more like an up-market hostel. Not a fan generally of this kind of place - if you like this kind of thing, go for it- it was good from that point of view
Beautiful estate grounds. The room was excellent for us and our two children
The staff are the stars!
Excellent conference centre type atmosphere but not really a hotel except for the prices
What's not to like?! I did add another night here~~~LOL
This is definitely a gorgeous place to stay in, especially for family and group of friends.
If you don't have a car (like me), it will be a little difficult to get in and out...(I had to take cab....TAT
Lovely stay in outstanding grounds. The estate is huge and beautiful. All facilities are excellent
It is best to check with reception before booking if you need disabled facilities as it is all on a steep slope. Facilities are good, but if you have walking difficulties without wheelchair or buggy, the access to reception is difficult with no handrail to the sloping path.
The location and food were great. The private dining at Dormy House was excellent
It was too far to walk from the B & B to Dormy House. The security guys gave us a lift which was really kind.
Staff were well trained and polite. Estate looks beautiful and well kept. We had a small problem with a noisy radiator in the room but were swapped to another room without any problem with in minutes of mentioning it. breakfast was wonderful. Rooms very clean.
The setting of the estate is picturesque and the buildings are all in excellent condition. The area also feels very secure with there being no problem leaving the vehicles overnight.
I thought that the estate lacked a centre and the rooms had disappointing views. The bar and restaurant seemed modern and clinical as did the room, overall the experience was a little disappointing. I was also so far from Broadway with no real way to reach the village by foot.
