Quaint Guest House Fairly close to city centre Best travel to city centre by taxi. Staff helpful, allowed us to park our car in the car park whilst we went to the city centre.
Helpful staff - rejigged cars so I could get out early in the morning. Good sized room, tea pot. Not to far to walk for an evening meal.
Couldn't get wifi code to work - too tired to ask for help though. Breakfast starts at 730 - only fruit available for early start.
Good location. Easily Accessible to interesting part of the city.
Good location, Nice breakfast.
When we arrived we got the impression that we were intruding. But the staff at breakfast was great.
Parking on site. Lovely ladies on breakfast duty Comfortable surroundings and will book here again if back in Oxford
The noisy family in the next room!
Location. Staff friendly and attentive
Bathroom sink blocked
excellent facilities, breakfast, free parking, busstop at 100 metres
parking rather small
We werevery pleased that we had chosen this spot,it providedexcellent access to the town centre and has great access to public transport as well as handy to restaraunts. Accommodtion very satisfactory.
Very large room and large bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.
Wifi was very unreliable. House and furnishings are very dated.
I love Hilary and Derek for their neverendind friendliness and hospitality.
Comfortable accommodation, lovely beds, super breakfast and blissfully quiet, Staff were a joy.
Excellent place to stay.
Great location for easy bus access to city centre. Pleasant area with plenty of shops, cafes etc
With every movement in bed the headboards knocked on the adjoining walls and the walls were not thick enough to absorb the knocking, demonstrated by the fact that it worked both ways. The bedroom was slightly cramped for a family room but in contrast the bathroom was very spacious. The staff and owner were lovely but the garden and furniture throughout the house would benefit from a makeover to cheer everything up.
The facilities were very good and room was small but comfortable with everything I needed including a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Wifi was very good and bed was comfortable.
I believe the owner was there my last morning but it would have been nice if he had introduced himself as I had been dealing with him by email and although staff were polite I did not feel the friendliness of other b and b's I have stayed in.
spacious rooms, lovely breakfast, staff friendly, bed comfortable. Bust stop across road made it easy into oxford, took 40mins to walk back which was quite pleasant
Although spacious rooms, they appeared dated and so was some of the furniture, but this may be our taste. Bedroom and lounge area quite dark, needed lights on when did not expect to. We had a lounge attached to our room but did not feel we would use it to relax. Walking through kitchen to get to our room seemed unusual, someone else may not mind
Ensuite deluxe bedroom wonderful Very calm with whirlpool, sauna and private breakfast room 30 minutes on foot to the town centre
Location and service. Room was quite despite the house being on a busy road, but we were at the rear of the property.
Parking was limited but adequate as long as there were no large cars in the spaces.
Great breakfast Friendly staff Left bag after check out Not too far from City centre
Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast excellent. Fridge in room very useful
Decor dated some items in need of re-furbishment
Very good breakfast as before. Friendly staff
My husband's third visit here- previously we both stayed in a double room which was fine but the single room this time was tiny (just big enough for a single bed and tiny desk) and oppressively hot despite opening the window (so the daytime temp outside was 25 degrees this week but not an unheard of temperature in the UK). The owner greeted him with 'it's hot' but the presence of a ceiling fan only recirculated hot air. Sorry but for £76 this was very poor value- what about a portable air-con unit? After a very poor night's sleep the shower didn't work effectively ( v. poor flow of water) and neither did the TV. He should have complained at the time but was being too 'British'. You should be warned about the size of the room when booking- it was a walk-in cupboard. Sorry to be so negative but it's hard to recommend somewhere when the experience wasn't good.
Very small area for parking. It was very hard to find and was far from the city of Oxford.
Lovely big room and bathroom. Bed really comfy and lovely breakfast would defiantly recommend
A nice B&B in the outskirts of the city. The only drawback is really that you have to walk a little bit.
Lovely size bedroom with its own private lounge and access to a lovely garden. Very friendly staff. Easy access to Oxford city centre. Breakfast was fantastic!
