Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much for them. Upgraded to previous owners accomodation. This was very good including a sauna and whirlpool bath. However it would benefit from some modernisation of the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Bus connection to City Centre every 10 minutes.
The location is excellent, with a bus stop just a few steps away. And, despite the busy Banabury Road, it turned out very quiet. The breakfast was deliciously cooked; the service (when needed) was friendly. Will stay there again.
size of room comfortable bed cleanliness secondary glazing blocked out road noise easy access into oxford, bus stop across the road, bus every 10 mins. great breakfast good quality bedding and towels powerful shower, plenty of hot water help always available, day & night
Warm welcome. Good clean basic accommodation. Excellent breakfast. Parking. Easy to get to by car. Easy to get to centre of Oxford by bus in 5 to 10 minutes (buses running every 10 minutes). Nearby shops, restaurants, pub, 5 minutes walk in nearby Summertown. Thank you!
Limited carparking facilities
We were given room 8 - the suite which was lovely. We didn't ask for breakfast in the living room but that was what we got each morning. the staff were friendly and helpful. A very comfortable and successful stay, thank you.
Just the access to room 8 through the kitchen but that's being picky.
Cotswold House is a well-kept place. Everything was clean and the staff was very kind. For breakfast they offer not only a good English Breakfast but also a buffet of fruits.
I didn't feel like I was staying at a guest house it felt home from home
We stayed in the deluxe double and really like the space, the bathroom and the view overlooking no the garden. We really enjoyed our time at the Cotswold Lodge. Sue knocked up a fabulous breakfast. Thank you.
The bed was too high for our liking, but that is purely preference as some people will welcome a high bed. We found the wifi signal to be extremely weak. All in all an enjoyable stay.
Quaint Guest House Fairly close to city centre Best travel to city centre by taxi. Staff helpful, allowed us to park our car in the car park whilst we went to the city centre.
Helpful staff - rejigged cars so I could get out early in the morning. Good sized room, tea pot. Not to far to walk for an evening meal.
Couldn't get wifi code to work - too tired to ask for help though. Breakfast starts at 730 - only fruit available for early start.
Good location. Easily Accessible to interesting part of the city.
Good location, Nice breakfast.
When we arrived we got the impression that we were intruding. But the staff at breakfast was great.
Parking on site. Lovely ladies on breakfast duty Comfortable surroundings and will book here again if back in Oxford
The noisy family in the next room!
Location. Staff friendly and attentive
Bathroom sink blocked
excellent facilities, breakfast, free parking, busstop at 100 metres
parking rather small
We werevery pleased that we had chosen this spot,it providedexcellent access to the town centre and has great access to public transport as well as handy to restaraunts. Accommodtion very satisfactory.
Very large room and large bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.
Wifi was very unreliable. House and furnishings are very dated.
I love Hilary and Derek for their neverendind friendliness and hospitality.
Comfortable accommodation, lovely beds, super breakfast and blissfully quiet, Staff were a joy.
Excellent place to stay.
Great location for easy bus access to city centre. Pleasant area with plenty of shops, cafes etc
With every movement in bed the headboards knocked on the adjoining walls and the walls were not thick enough to absorb the knocking, demonstrated by the fact that it worked both ways. The bedroom was slightly cramped for a family room but in contrast the bathroom was very spacious. The staff and owner were lovely but the garden and furniture throughout the house would benefit from a makeover to cheer everything up.
The facilities were very good and room was small but comfortable with everything I needed including a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Wifi was very good and bed was comfortable.
I believe the owner was there my last morning but it would have been nice if he had introduced himself as I had been dealing with him by email and although staff were polite I did not feel the friendliness of other b and b's I have stayed in.
spacious rooms, lovely breakfast, staff friendly, bed comfortable. Bust stop across road made it easy into oxford, took 40mins to walk back which was quite pleasant
Although spacious rooms, they appeared dated and so was some of the furniture, but this may be our taste. Bedroom and lounge area quite dark, needed lights on when did not expect to. We had a lounge attached to our room but did not feel we would use it to relax. Walking through kitchen to get to our room seemed unusual, someone else may not mind
