The location was superb, surrounded by a giant pond and wildlife. Nice faciliites, very modern and new. Breakfast was pleasant although service for tea and coffee was very slow. Pool and spa services nice but treatments were very expensive. My only concern with the hotel was the bed! The springs were popping through the mattress and our first night, neither of us slept, which is unfortunate as you would expect that on holiday, you would get a good nights sleep. Also, considering one is paying over £100 pn to stay here, you would expect the beds to be comfortable and of good quality. Its a shame as it really spoilt our holiday. I complained to the front desk and they said they would change the mattress but all they did was put a mattress cover on. Very disappointed. Also, bring your own pillows.

practical location staff extremely polite hotel was very clean. Thought hotel was more three star, when I requested extra blankets and slippers , the staff were very polite but they never arrived. I would not stay again but can see how it would suit young families.

The Cotswolds water park hotel pretty much caters for everything; it’s a lovely design (in and out). The staff make you feel welcome and really do aim to please. We thought it was great value for money, there is not enough time in a weekend to fit in all that you have on offer. I cannot say there is anything in particular we did not like, but just a suggestion, a fridge in the room would have been nice, even if empty, just to store a couple bottles of water for night time. Albeit, I called room service at 01:00hrs and a nice cold bottle of water turned up in minutes.

Good room overlooking lake; quiet; pleasant staff; Interesting design; space Buffet breakfast needs attention; too long under lights, drying up; not hot, returned bacon etc. I suspect it was then heated in microwave, not fresh, a smile was the response from waiter staff when challenged.

Although we normally like old historic hotels we also like to be near water and wildlife, we had just come from Slimbridge and this hotel seemed to tick all the boxes. The lake was lovely the staff friendly and efficient and the rooms very well equiped. Our room overlooked the lake that had swans and ducks. Outside the lovely scenery was spoilt by the continuous traffic noise from the road close to the Hotel. Inside it was quiet and spacious. The buffet breakfast suited us and the evening meal was fine. If we were in the area again we would seriously consider staying there

Pretty much everything. In fact we enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked Easter Weekend 2012. No bath in the en suite, and we were not informed prior to our arrival; but the shower was great.

We thought the hotel room was really nice, views were stunning, the staff at the reception were very nice and helpful. The evening menu food choice was very good, as was the food, although the breakfast was just ok-standard Buffett fayre. The spa was ok, shame the steam room and experience shower were not working without any indication as to why. Nice having the separate coffee and tv area, lovely that the hotel is only 2 stories high. The boathouse inn was very nice and having the seating areas overlooking the lake was lovely. Food and beer also very good. We booked this hotel after finding it on the web, although we were only there for 1 night, we had a lovely relaxing break, which is what we wanted I have sent in a complaints form Re: the service of the resturant and as requested will not expand on this. The hotel robes were rough, expected nice soft towels especially as they were part of the upgraded package. Fridges in the superior rooms would be an advantage, again especially as white wine is included the upgrade and it would be nice to drink cold. Dissapointed with the spa facilities as the impression from the web site was the facilities in the area were more superior than what they actually were - a pool and sauna!! Had I booked the hotel as a spa day/break I would of been extremely dissapointed, in our case, we came to the hotel to relax which we did

A lovely hotel. Breakfast was a bit of a self service 'buffet' rather than individually cooked, but was OK.
