There was no hot water for a shower on Sunday morning
We arrived on Saturday teatime and the man on reception could not have been more helpful. He supplied crockery and cutlery so we could eat a takeaway meal in the bar
Very basic and old. But I think you get what you pay for. If you just need to sleep, it's fine. Breakfast only served until 9am.
Cheap - value for money, and cheaper than many other hotels Friendly staff Free wi-fi Whilst it is a bit of a trek from town, I'd suggest getting a taxi - 5/10mins, £5. Worth it.
Breakfast not included, breakfast too early, booking out too early! Too noisy, room too small/cupboard like..,
Clean, good value for money. Ample breakfast. Staff pleasant.
Single room was very small and was pricey for the space given.
Staff were friendly room was clean
Didn't like that I could hear the other guests in their rooms.
Good location, right on the bus route, easy to get in and out of centre. Free parking and wifi appreciated and the staff were lovely.
Clean, friendly, simple and catered to our needs.
The 4 young contractors in the next room showing no respect for any one else who might be trying to sleep. Fortunately the hotel staff were able to move me to another room but still not ideal at midnight!
Attitude and helpfulness of the staff
Needs a overall
Nothing really only there one night
Tiny room, with shower off a corridor- little privacy- cracked sink- very thin walls- drunks coming in during early hours and shouting and shrieking for several hours with no-one intervening.
The pleasant lady who served breakfast
Good basic accommodation. Pleasant staff.
The room was freezing but soon heated up when room heater switched on. We were woken several times by a group of other guests.
Good location for city centre. Rooms very clean. Excellent breakfast. Family room was perfect for us and our daughter.
Some guests were really noisy but nothing the hotel management could have anticipated.
The room was comfortable and spotless. Staff friendly. Breakfast only £5 extra. Twenty minute walk to city centre or short cab ride.
a nice distance from the centre, great value for money, clean
No mirrors in a room with 4 girls! X
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. For the price we were expecting it to be very basic but what we actually got was a lovely little room with everything we needed. The location was £5 in a taxi to the town centre but out of the way enough for a quiet night sleep. The staff couldn't do more to help. They were fabulous. The rooms were lovely and clean.
Sliding door to bathroom with gaps lowers privacy.
Good if you have a hole in the tent. Absolutely freezing
The only thing which would put me of staying here again is that there was four of us in a quad room and we all Had to share a small bathroom mirror to get ready in and when we asked the reception if they could help in any way, perhaps a spare mirror or something, they were no help! Also you have to be dead quiet when coming back to your room after a night out, which is very hard for a group of girls. It doesn't help That walls are very thin and you can hear everything.
a group of friends and I stayed for a night out in Nottingham, hotel was just for us to get ready in and a place to sleep really. Hotel was clean and staff were helpful in giving us the phone numbers we needed to get taxis, takeaways ect
Friendly welcome on arrival. Staff pleasant and chatty. Agreed a later check-out in the morning. Good hotel for groups of friends looking for value for money on a weekend night out. Rooms clean and tidy.
Clean comfortable room, small but adequate. Good sheets. Teenage children had a triple toom with single beds which is hard to find - they were happy with the wifi and TV. We all slept fine, we chose to go into town to have breakfast but did use the tea/coffee facilities.
Happy, friendly, chatty staff made too feel like I was a regular visitor even though it was my first visit.
The neatness of the facility
Low cost; warm room; Lidl supermarket across the road; good value breakfast.
Kettle was missing from the room but was replaced eventually and no tv remote but the most annoying thing was the fact the heating got turned off by the cleaner every day leaving the room freezing which isn't ideal after a day at work bearing in mind it took the tiny heater in the room 2 hours to take any effect.
