Feels like home
Fantastic room Peaceful location and surroundings Nice, friendly staff
Food was nice but steak was over cooked
Pleasant surroundings. Friendly staff.
Everything - lovely room/bathroom/bed. Great bar with open fire and lovely decor in the lounge.Food and wine very good and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
I stayed for two nights and for both breakfasts they appeared to be short staffed with some customers waiting a long time for food. I did not receive what I asked for (but was too polite to make a scene) but another customer did complain and this caused some friction in the kitchen (which we could hear).Shame because it ruined a relaxed sunday morning atmosphere.
excellent location, good facilities and comfortable
no heating on arrival and told the heating would come on at 4.45 so room was cold. was offered an additional heater to compensate. thereafter for the rest of the stay the room was warm.
Well trained and very friendly staff including the manager!
The diner menu could be made more interesting by changing slightly every day and in places we needed the waitress to clarify the technology used on the menu. However the actual standard of the cuisine was excellent.
all staff very friendly and helpful
A little cold in the night
£5 for each device for high speed internet!? We arrive late morning & were told there was a room available for check-in.... for an extra £40.
The entire weekend experience was excellent. We arrived early to be greeted by staff who placed our cases in a storage room. We were served tea and biscuits in a very comfortable lounge with a crackling log burning fire. After a walk into town which took about 10mins, we returned to find our cases had been placed in our rooms. The bar was very comfortable with a log fire burning in the grate. Breakfast the next morning was excellent! Staff were all friendly, helpful, professional and very approachable. All our needs were met. I would certainly re-visit and would definitely recommend this hotel to other. Thank you.
Having to return home after a wonderful relaxing weekend.
great location Friendly Staff
Trinity room looks "tired". Dirty bath panel Stained carpet in bedroom Stained bedspread Bathroom tiles ,several cracked/broken.
Nice small bar Many parking spaces
Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was good, the atmosphere was charming
The singles were very tiny. I guess that's typical of the area, but my suitcase would not fit in the closet or anywhere else in the room
Throughly enjoyed our three night stay. Helpful staff throughout. Can find no fault whatsoever. Good location, close to transport was the icing on the cake.
same menu two night in a row.
Great position, quiet with parking and within walking distance of centre of Oxford and good bus service past the hotel if required. Very good food, well presented. Helpful and pleasant staff. All parts of the hotel were tastefully decorated with comfy lounge and bar area.
The room was comfortable staff were adequate. The location was good only about 10 mins from town.
The radiator in the bathroom didn't work which made the bathroom very cold. This meant bathing needed to be swift, no relaxing bath to warm up after a cold winters day. We reported the issue but nothing happened. Breakfast on the second day was a disaster. We waited an hour food and when it arrived the food was cold. Staff didn't explain delays or apologise for the experience.
The hotel was in a good location 15 mins walk into city. The staff were friendly and we were able to book in early. Room was clean and comfortable with a good sized TV and complimentary biscuits. The bathroom had a good shower and thick towels. We had a 3 course meal in the restaurant for £25 a head which was good value, but didn't try breakfast. Bar pricey but open 24 hours. Car park filled up quickly.
Very good service in restaurant
Room not warm enough - even with the single radiator full on. Could not wash hair without standing up in the bath. Taps attractive but difficult to use.
Good bath lotions Very good cooked breakfast Free parking Comfortable bed
Location not central though only 10-15 minutes walk
Staff were friendly and happy , evening meal and breakfast was excellent , lovely dining room .
Room was a little cold in the day , lots of hairs in the bath and sink ( ? Body hair) and some stains and marks on the bedding .
Lovely room. Good view. Has a balcony but locked.
A bit far from the train station. No lift. Cost me £65 (no breakfast include) , with price like this, I could find a better place.
*clean *quiet * a very welcoming ambience *helpful staff - - very guest-focust. *highly recommended Does Oxford proud.
*did specify I was gluten free but gluten biscuits in room. *waiting staff's level of English was poor: ordered seedless bread - the managing waiter told them so but still got seeded bread (allergy). However, breakfast was excellent overall. *the wifi access info seems out of date in the welcome book - different info when askt at reception.
Breakfast served to us felt luxurious.
The walk in to Oxford City centre took us about 25 minutes when we were expecting it to take 5 mins.
My daughter & I love the beautiful building with its many charming rooms & features & decor. Our room though not big, was comfortable & warm. We had a lovely lunch at the Restaurant 66A & appreciate why so many choose this place for weddings & other events. The staff was most friendly & helpful especially when I considered extending my stay beyond my initial booking & the hotel was full. They did their best to find me a room although in the end I decided against it due to the high room rates as I was then on my own.
Like most hotels, it does not seem to cater to single guests, costwise. It was rather expensive for me to stay on after my daughter checked into Oxford for her interview. It was more economical to stay at a B&B as they charge per guest. This is a general observation & not a complaint.
