The reception staff were excellent! Warm, friendly and they remembered our names as they handed us our room key. The heating didn't work in our room so it was a cold night. Some of the lights didn't work in the bathroom and they were the sort if horrible ecofriendly lights that take 8 minutes to fully illuminate the room! I shaved in the dark.

The web page for the hotel is misleading. The standard rooms are very small. There was not enough room for two people and two suitcases. It may have been the smallest room we have ever stayed in while traveling in Europe. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent, including the dining experience. The web page for the hotel is misleading. Hugely overpriced. A very mediocre hotel with poor facilities, The bedroom was basic, relatively small, poorly decorated and badly maintained. Smelt "musty" and airless. The food at supper was average and took a long time to be served - probably due to a wedding reception in another part of the hotel. We did not stay for breakfast, which was extra to the room cost. Overall hugely disappointing. Will not stay there again !

Nice though small room with balcony. Cumbersome mechanism to log on to internet - which turned out not to work. Not good enough for £108 per night.

The location is fantastic for my purposes. It is luxurious and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is slightly pricy but worth it. The bathroom light!

Location Very noisy. Elephants upstairs late night, early morning.Every movement they made sounded very loud. In the early morning cleaning women outside room chatting & making a noise. One was lying on the rug outside our room when we opened the door. Restaurant, the food was very good but the waitress didn't have a clue. Not impressed with the reception either.

It is a convenient location near to the Department of Oxford University in which I work. It has a discounted rate for university staff, vivitng examiners and speakers. It is of high quality and the rooms are dealt with speedily wach day. Breakfast was a little meagre for the price, though of good quality.

Nice atmosphere, good service, rather quiet was able to book via booking.com with amex but when we got there informed that there was a 3% surcharge. Ok for a one night stay. Shower water temperature was Ok but if you had a bath, it was not that hot. There was a shortage of toiletries. One small bar of soap and a Shower Gel bottle that would not operate. The bathroom radiator was turned Off and this was the coldness night we had in December.

The location and the price were a very good combination. Cotswold Lodge was much cheaper than hotels in the very centre of the city though it was only about 10 minutes walk into the centre. The private parking was a particular bonus for me. The stay was very nice and suited my purposes perfectly. I got woken up by a noisy group of people as the sound seems to travel through the rooms, however it was only an inconvenience and would not out me off in the future. The breakfast was also a bit expensive for what it was in my opinion
