Comfy bed + room clean Breakfast OK
Smelt of stale chinese food throughout building Wouldn't allow parking in car park even though x 3 similar vehicles to mine (drop sided pick-up) parked there already Shower ran out of hot water
Friendly staff & excellent breakfast
Parking and breakfast included in price. Best price as compared to others in the area.
Cold shower. All soaped up and the shower just went freezing cold. Waited and waited, turned the water off and on but was forced to take a cold shower in the end.
staff and overall facilities just great! cool garden, good food.
far from london itself, every little trip to the center of london will take you 50-70 minutes.
Cleanliness was good, bathroom spotless
Very old fashioned, bed was awful, no staff at reception when we left, we were trying to hunt them down to hand key in, had to leave it on desk. Breakfast was served too early.. There was no leeway
staff couldn't have been more helpful very clean and homely good location good breakfast and plenty of choice secure parking very good value for money
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice sized room, clean, comfortable. Convenient location.
Nothing really. Maybe a bit on the pricey side.
Room 15 Nice size room, bathroom and great shower. Nice large mirror too. Large sink and work surface.
Really bad lighting in the bathroom made it difficult to wet shave. This marred an otherwise good stay. As the hotel is not on mains water, It's tank fed, you get bottled water to drink. Not enough supplied for coffee/ tea and overnight drink.
Hounslow has a bit of a gritty rep. That said, the Cottage is a little oasis, considering it's only 5 miles from Heathrow. The place is in the shape of a courtyard surrounded by walls, surprisingly quiet and peaceful for the area. Rooms and bathroom clean, beds comfortable. Nothing too fancy, but if you need an airport-convenient place from which to stage trips into the city - the West Hounslow underground stop is a short drive away, with good parking - this is a solid choice.
The small carpark can be challenging when the house is full. The place seems to cater to business types in for a day or two of meetings, so when we were there - Sept-Oct - the weekends were fairly empty and weekdays more crowded. Breakfast hours were for early risers: 7 - 8:30 during the week, 8 - 9:30 weekends. Some of the rooms empty via a path through the pretty courtyard, so sunrise cellphone talk can float in and wake you very early on.
The staff were very helpful and professional in all aspects. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Closeness to terminal 4 Heathrow Airport. Pleasant settings in the garden. Public transport ( buses ) are closeby. Overall good accommodation for the price. Security of the premises is good. Breakfast provided was good and plentiful!
Staff, location, overall facility
No early breakfast . only served after 7 am
Secure car park. Excellent food
Wifi was poor
No evening food , simple menu would be appreciated not much without driving so would be great if they catered evenings too
Solarium Backyard Big bathroom Safe neighbourhood
location and value for money
one staff serving the breakfast is not too polite
Garden and breakfast space very nice.
Pretty isolated. Black Cab had trouble finding at the end of the alley. Not the Cottage fault but cook was absent from the pub across the street, the only place nearby for food, so nothing to eat that evening.
One of the largest single rooms I've ever stayed in. Very good breakfast included.
No restaurants nearby for evening meal except for pub across the road.
I have used The Cottage many times before and will continue to do so. There are helpful, friendly staff, a nice quite courtyard to relax in and an excellent breakfast.
Location and relief from aircraft noise.
Monday to Friday finishing time of 8.30 for breakfast is totally ridiculous when people are on holiday. We haves travelled for over 40 years and never had an 8.30 finish. Also to say that cereal to start with is not included if you have a cooked breakfast is farcical. However after consultation we where given cereal. One morning we had no hot water and the manger would not allow a 15 minute extension to allow us to have a shower once the water heated but reluctantly gave us the use of another shower. Generally not obliging like Scotland where there is a different approach and most BandBgo out of their way to please I think the Cottage has it too easy. After our first stay in May the manager happened to be at the reception desk when I was handing in the key and did not ask if we had enjoyed our stay or that he would be looking forward to seeing us in August. No personal touch at all which is disappointing but perhaps this is what to expect in England.
No food or water around the guesthouse. Very limited
Cooked breakfast was excellent, even though it lacked bacon.
I personally found the bed uncomfortable. A bit to soft for me.
Location Shower Staff Secure parking
Beds very uncomfortable Dated decor and bedding Felt dingy No bacon at breakfast
Great check in lovely gardens rooms clean with big bathroom Very secure
No bacon at breakfast? Paint on walls a dark orange quite depressing
