The food was excellent. A great meal in the restaurant, with great local beer.
Staff were wonderful. Attentive. Flexible. Helpful. Detail - Boneo for dog + water bowl and dog mat. Excellent shower.
Room was awkward shape so generous size felt bit squashed. Room didn't have bath despite requesting when booked.
Food is excellent and staff are friendly and helpful. The location and view are beautiful with good access to walks from the hotel. Also possible to have dogs (although we didn't bring ours we might another time).
Décor in rooms and bar is very dated and a bit shabby. Bathrooms were very old fashioned and electric shower totally useless. The bed was really too hard to sleep comfortably although I think the orthopaedic mattress was meant to be a plus point!
Friendly staff on arrival and throughout. Complimentary upgrade to superior room. Beautiful setting with stunning views. Excellent.
Portions of the main course meals were too big. No room for desert.
Friendly helpful staff. Good service. Excellent food,
Location superb and unlike anywhere else
Staff dedication second to none, a real genuine desire to please. You can feel the love, time and effort put into making your stay 1st class. Good atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Lovely breakfast but did not realise this was extra? Extra touches in the rooms, lovely tea & biccy selection. Stunning location.
Decor in the rooms is dramatic & consuming - takes some getting used too! Bathroom a little faded and dated. The attention to your well being out weighs all the little nags tho.
This was our fourth visit to The Cottage and we were not disappointed! The staff go out of their way to make sure guests have a good break and the service is excellent. Food in restaurant also excellent again.
Shower in the room we had could do with updating.
The views are amazing. Would definitely go again. Food was excellent.
Wonderful view. Excellent dinner and breakfast.Well-appointed bedroom.
Great breakfast, lots of variety Nice walks
Staff and food and views
Decor average. Could do with a spruce up
As above - there were no faults.
Would like a bigger bed 2 large people but assured we would have one next time
Real great welcome. Charming and very professional staff. Felt extremely welcome and comfortable.
Friendly helpful staff. The Management even provided a Dog Biscuit and Pet bed on arrival. The room was of good size and quiet with direct access to the woods for walking.
Could have done with Bar meals and access for pets in the bar only.
Friendly, helpful staff, location, food.
Menu wasn't very clear about accompaniments with main course. A fairly common complaint of mine.
Our room was beautifully furnished and had a stunning view. The dining facilities were excellent and saved heading out again after a long journey (or a hike up the Worcestershire Beacon).
The bathroom was a bit tired and the shower struggled to deliver any pressure.
Staff could not do enough for you. Fresh milk available for tea and coffee in the rooms High quality food Location
Drinks rather pricy
Food & Hospitality
Not enough selection of local beers
location ambiance food
Great setting, food quite good but overpriced. Nice touch with homemade shortbread in bedroom. Good spot for walk on hills straight from hotel grounds. Fresh milk appreciated in perfect sized containers.
Would have liked a plainer pasta or few more vegetarian options or slightly more proportion of veg to protein. Notice in bathroom about water softener and not drinking water. What do you put in kettle for cup of tea then? Lighting in lounge needs to be more subdued in eve- a bit like a waiting room & didn't encourage loitering after dinner. Our ground floor bedroom had view of a high bank which was a bit disappointing.
