Convenient for our location
The room was like a little corner of heaven. Lovely room, beautiful bathroom.
We had booked a suite and it was first class, large warm and comfortable. We were sorry to leave after six days.
Nothing really except it would be nice to have wifi at a very reduced rate or included
The staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful. Lovely location.
A bit more attention needs to be paid to the cleanliness of the rooms and to little details such as missing hooks on the curtains. Only 2 pillows, both very small and soft, were provided on a double bed and there were no spares in the wardrobe as indicated on the notice on the back of the door.
Friendly staff and excellent breakfast variety and portions.
Bed unconformable so did not sleep well, bathroom was a liitle 'outdated'.
location certainly not the price .
everything the breakfast was overcooked and did not very presentably the bread was the nasty cheap stuff thin the fruit looks alful the place itself needed redecorating need I go on.we the only thing about it was the the vew which was fair.
The room I had was near something very noisy that didn't stop till 11:00pm and started up again at 6:00am, hotel is dated and the shower was shocking!
Stayed here for only one night whilst on business nearby so location was perfect. We were half board so the evening meal was included. We were initially a little disappointed with the food on offer as the menu in our room and on the restaurant tables was really basic pub grub but it was in with our deal so we were delighted when our waiter officially welcomed us and gave us a chef's specials menu and told we were entitled to any starter, main and dessert. The food was outstanding and we are most surprised that the hotel did not make more of this. Breakfast was also very good. All the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. All in all, we were delighted.
If we were being picky, my wife was given a vodka and tonic with ice in a half pint beer glass which we thought was a basic training issue.
Hotel decor was very tired, threadbare carpets, wallpaper hanging off,it all looked a little bit tatty! We checked in for three nights but only stayed two owing to the fact that we had sleepless nights because of very noisy guests and a disco running till 2 o'clock in the morning ! Staff were very apologetic and we did get a refund. Unfortunately I couldn't recommend the hotel.
Very attentive staff at reception and in breakfast room
Room was a bit cold on a winter's night.
The hotel changed our room on the 2nd night as there was a party beneath it.
Some of the decor is a bit tired.
Everything . The hotel had a cosy feel as soon as we walked in .staff were great and breakfast was delicious .
Always have a great stay, but some of rooms a little tired. Not this stay, upgraded to a newly decorated room. Superb
Nothing to dislike
Very Nice Staff Good Food Good Car Parking Will stay there again the next time I am in the area.
Just a little too warm in all area's of the hotel .
The staff were all very professional and friendly. Staff welcomed our dog.
Our bathroom was disgusting with a badly stained toilet, mould around the taps in the bath and plug hole. The carpet had holes. The lift was out of order. This was not the standard you would expect from 4* hotel. We complained and were told because we had paid via a booking site no refund could be given. An adjustment was made by the duty manager to waive the cost of breakfast. I was told the manager would contact me so I delayed writing a bad review to give the manager time to contact me but he has not and it is now a month after our stay. I have pictures of the dirt and state of the room. We were told a refurbishment was being carried out - shame we didn't benefit from this !
the bed was reasonably comfortable, as were the pillows - usually our biggest complaint
Everywhere you looked a little maintainence along the way would have avoided the hotel looking as though it was ready for a complete refit.
I like the area as it was close to my family and getting into London. Staff were excellent
Not too keen on the decor but I know they are upgrading, bed was a bit 'tired' also could have done with a new mattress but all in all no complaints
Polite staff, clean roon, great atmosphere
Room really comfy
Steam room out of order
The hotel was comfortable and the staff made us feel very welcome the room was very clean we would definitely stay there again
There was nothing we didn't like
Great reception was helpful and willing to help, lovely place to wake Xmas morning very magical, but come on guys think about us at breakfast before worrying bout those at lunchtime, it might be Xmas day but it is for us too
Comfy bed and great breakfast!
Too hot....turn the heating down!
The people I encountered were friendly and cheerful.
I was woken early by the bin men.
