a short distance from earl`s court and Piccadilly line that takes you conveniently to Heathrow, good bed, bathroom large enough. also enough closet space. Nice to have the oppurtunity for tea and biscuits in the room there was a door connecting two rooms and you could hear normal talk from the adjoining room.also being able to open the window would have ment fresher air in the room

Cheap room but see below for why. The room (called "compact") was tiny and there wasn't really enough room for two people.

The location is great, staff was very helpful and breakfast very good. All in all, an excellent value for money, taking in consideration it is about London. Two single beds sticked together do not make a double bed.

The location was great on the District and Piccadilly lines. Great for airport commute. Our tv didn't work and it took them hours to work out that they need to move us to another room. The hotel is obviously getting done up gradually and the smell of fresh paint was everywhere. Breakfast was far too expensive.

Walls very thin, resulting in noise from other rooms. Housekeeping staff start very early in the morning and are noisy.

Location. I booked an Executive King Room. Whereas the facilities were of a godd standard in the room, the size of the room was very disappointing. I could have got a bigger room at Premier Inn!

Convenient to Earl's Court Exhibition Centre and to the Tube network. TV in room, but you had to pay a significant amount to watch it.

The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and little touches like the tea and coffee tray and the complimentary soft drinks in the fridge, and the use of a safe made all the difference to a comfortable stay. The location was good only a short walk to Earls Court tube or Gloucester road tube stations and restaurants and shops close by. A very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

It would have been useful if we were informed that the name of the hotel had changed. It was fine but too far out for us.

Location, room size, bath room 2 single beds stuck together with 2 single quilts and 2 single bed sheets, how do you call this a double bed?! Saw other reviews complaining about this issue before booking, so sent them an email demanding a proper double bed, they emailed back saying everything's arranged. When I checked in I asked again about the beds they made sure that it was a double bed, yet when I got into the room, it's 2 single beds with separate bed sheets and duvets!!! Unbelievable! On the second day when we went back to the room the key did not work, we went to reception only to find that there was a system error and our room was listed as vacant! so the cleaner reported "there was stuff in the room", left the room half-cleaned, and had our keys blocked. When we gained access to the room again, we found the beds half made(that's right, only one single bed was made, the other was not! Again that's gonna be a challenging task if they had gave us a proper double bed!), glasses soak in the bathroom sink...

It was an excellent value for money hotel, my daughter and i had a very enjoyable stay. We were at the front of the hotel and there was a very busy road outside but it was wonderfully quiet in the room, the beds were comfortable and clean as was the room. We had an excellent breakfast with lots to choose from. The hotel is a five minute walk from the tube and a ten minute tube ride to Oxford street. The only thing i would say is that it would have been nice to have a mirror in the room as there was nothing to look into to blow dry your hair,or check your look in. I couldnt do it in the bathroom as there was no socket., trivial, i know and i did manage in the end but it seemed odd not to have one.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, in particular, the bar / coffee shop staff. Complimentary soft drinks provided in the fridge - water / coke / lemonade. Breakfast was okay, limited range, no variation from day to day. Hotel has recently been decorated, slight smell of paint in the room but of no concern. Small sections of skirting missing in public areas etc, just needs finishing off.

The description on the internet does not diiferentiate between the 'standard double' room and the 'classic double' room.We were put in a room described as 'classic double ' which in fact was too small for one person and was very uncomfortable. The attitude of the receptionist when we asked for another room was rude, arrogant and unhelpful. No effort whatsoever was made to resolve the situation, on the contrary as far as this hotel is concerned the receptionist is always right. Needless to say I will not stop at a Mercure Hotel again nor will I be recommending the chain.
