Location is good (5min from Earls Court), clean, very good breakfast, nice and friendly staff, room pleasant designed. In the most of the 4 stars hotels Internet is free, to ask 30Pound for 24 Hours is a theft. Many clients have complaint about this (see others comments) but Mercure still asking money. It is not possible to open the room windows, not so bad but the ventilation system should work little better.

The hotel is in a great location, the room was good and clean. What really put it down to me was the reception service… They weren’t very friendly and whenever I needed them, I felt treated not as a customer, but as someone who was asking for an indecorous favour. I informed them I had given the hotel details in order to be contacted. 2 friends of mine tried to contact me and reported that the receptionist didn’t pay too much attention and said straight away that there was no one with that name in there. Also, I tried for 3 times to do a reservation for the following week, as I was going back to London for 2 nights. The receptionist was always too busy, asking me to come back later. I ended up going to another one, Blakemore, which was almost the same price and 10 times better.

The room was extremely well furnished and it was very comfortable. Most of the staff were very helpful and very courteous. Service standards. One of the receptionist had an unacceptable attitude and was exceptionally rude. My family was very affected. I emailed a formal complaint about two weeks ago but have not since received any reply from the hotel. It seems to me that they do not regard this seriously. As a guest I expect, if not service excellence, at least common courtesy. I would not visit the hotel uncommitted to this bare minimum.

Location good for our purposes We tried to get the same hotel as our daughter and partner (Premier Inn) unfortunately it was fully booked the Mercure website stated rooms were "compact"- I didn't realise that estate agents wrote mercures website-I believe that there is a human rights guide to the minimum amount of space that prisoners should receive -this probably just complies - basically they have taken a standard hotel room and halved it to double the income . room was stuffy a/c was inefficient which given the size of the room it was attempting to cool meant it probably was faulty- whole hotel was very hot and stuffy .breakfast was adequate , My advice is to book the Premier Inn just down the road ,same location , vastly superior and more comfortable

Excellent facilities for the rate, including some very nice touches with complementary drinks and all movies with Internet for a good daily fee. The only thing I didn't like was the noise from the rooms next door, the walls were too thin allowing me to hear everything from next door.

The staff is most welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed having a mini-fridge although we only drank water from the soft drinks provided. The work desk and tea area were both big enough to function well. The hotel is very quiet inside, despite being on a busy street and next to Cromwell Hospital. We also enjoyed the location, close to Earl's Court Underground Station, good restaurants, and a Sainsbury's. Although larger than average for a European hotel room, our twin room (#306) had a couple of design challenges. Coat hooks on the back of the door or on the wall would be most helpful. The bathroom counter was a bit stained, although very clean.

Absolutely loved the decor and the lighting of the room - and the size of the bed which was extremely comfortable; had the best night's sleep, which is rare for me in a hotel (also helped by the good sound insulation of the room which is so important). Generous complimentary provisions both in mini-fridge and bathroom. Ironing facilities and hairdryer were great. Control of air conditioning and heating was great. Decent hangers. We just loved it. My daughter was down in London for an audition the next day and the gorgeous surroundings really helped to ease her nerves and made us both feel special. Even the loo rolls were good quality! I have nothing negative to say.

From my initial entrance to the hotel, the staff attended to my every need, they were very polite, helpful and friendly. Their knowledge and expertise made my stay comfortable. Even though it is a chain hotel, I received the personal touch and not just treated in a manner that would be similar in other chain hotels. The staff excelled themselves and should be rewarded by management for the skills they portray, they add quality which is hard to find in many businesses these days. From my observation and knowledge in auditing hotels, this is one that I would highly recommend. My room was small but cosey and extremely clean with every facility required. Thank you for a pleasant stay. The hair dryer was hard to use, I would have liked to use the TV to watch the news, I believe it was an extra fee and it would be nice to have free access to WIFI but other than those three minor dislikes everything else was perfect.

Despite being on a busy street the traffic noise was negligble. Everything was clean and fresh. Iloved the "real" coffee machine in the room. We arrived early and the hotel stored our luggage while we went for lunch. I felt there was not enough in the way of information packs in the rooms. We didn't know there was computer services available and also a wi-fi would have been benificial.

Friendly staff on reception, room comfortable and we appreciated free soft drink availability Entrance was poor, when we found the toilet in the main hotel we had to walk through building works which felt uncomfortable and no apologies were made by the 3 staff we came into contact with along the way (which was down a very tight stair well). It was advertised with exciting pictures but failed to live up to them, and we were disappointed there was no restaurant for dinner. Also shower was visably rusty.

The room was very quiet even though it looked onto Cromwell Rd. Very easy access to tube at Gloucester Rd and Earl's Court and to local buses. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, Comfortable. A very good choice of restaurants, bars and pubs nearby.
