Countryside Hotel  

I went back to the Hotel following my stay there to ask for a refund of the cost of my stay as I was severely bitten by bed bugs which needed 2 weeks of anti-biotic treatment & as @ 5th Jan 2011 have still not fully healed. The Management refused a refund & dldn't seem to care less! My gp has taken photos of the infection and I will be taking legal action against the Hotel & reporting them to their council's Environmental Health Dept. Meanwhile I suggest you take this 'Hotel' off your website as it is a danger to the public!!

Absolutely nothing

Over the last two years we have stayed in more that 70 places in uk and Europe and this has to be the worst place by a country mile. The "no smoking" room stank of cigarette smoke and cigarette butts filled the window ledge. A charming rodent trap welcomed us on the floor near the bed. The furniture and carpet would be rejected by a charity shop. The bed had stained brown sheets that had seen better days If you are thinking about staying here, don't is my only recommendation

The wonderfully friendly staff. Provision of room heaters and fridges in rooms.

Got lost with the postcode. Hotel rooms smelt of cigarette smoke. Shower head duct-taped to wall. Noisy hotel residents.

Friendly staff. Near to Tube station. Room rate is afordable. WiFi facility is available there

Enough parking space and wifi availability are two major facilites which i found great.

Beds are well past sell by date, décor is in need of drastic tlc and the hotel smells!

Good hotel, simple, kind staff, sympathetic. It was pleasant to me!

I was offered a double room with en-suite bathroom, as I was a "nice lady".

Poor condition and dirty. Not enough staff to cope. Single room had door to outside rather than hotel, hence offered double room. Pair of men's pants on shelf, shower curtain put in place of door, so floor rotting.

Overall I think the standard of this hotel in general is poor.

Breakfast was very very poor.Room cleaning over 6 nights was carried out just once. No sheet change. No towel change. The shower sink is obstructed by the tap and you can hardly wash your face without injuring yourself by the tap. It protudes out leaving no room to get close to the sink. All in all I think the authorities should close this hotel down.

I would classify this hotel the worst I have ever encountered, on arrival no room was available. Had to use another hotel. Returned to countryside hotel the following day to find the room filthy, the beds broken and the shower dangerous.We had no sleep. Advertised as 10 mins from tube station, (30 mins minium).

The fact that they was a condom machine at the bottom of the stairs.
