Staff Polite and freindly
Mould on bathroom tiles. Room very hot no adjustment. Had to open window to be able to breath then unbelievable noise from lorries passing. Generally hotel run down. Staff told us it was likely to be demolished. Purchased beer in bar they had to change it as it tasted of chemicals. I was told it probably been sat in pipes for a while as they don't sell very much of it !
Location - Gym - swimming pool
Poor wifi reception in rooms. Great hotel in need of minor modernisation.
I liked the price
All The facilities were very outdated, needs modernising.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and were not fazed by how late we were running. There was no fuss and a quick and easy booking in process before resting in our room.
There was nothing negative at all and we will definitely stay there again
The staff here were so great! They helped me out changing rooms with not the slightest bit of annoyance. They let me keep my bags behind the desk after check out so I could explore the town. They were helpful, friendly and kind.
The hotel itself is a disaster. It's dirty, old and outdated. I had to switch rooms because my bed was full of hairs and my pillow case had dirt all over it. I was honestly worried for my health when I went in the pool (in case it wasn't cleaned, as the change rooms were definitely not). My new room was ok, but I still felt really uncomfortable knowing how dirty the last bed was. The bathroom floor was dirty in the second room. I actually didn't use the shower because of how unclean everything was. There were Christmas decorations still up in the lobby (on February 15th). Also the advertised free wifi only works in the lobby. Overall it wasn't a great stay.
Staff are nice.
Hotel facilities and linens are so old definitely needs changing, hotel room got a bit of a weird smell and there is a big stain on the carpet of our room.. We paid for breakfast for 3 days just ate once because it definitely is not worth it..
Very friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast. Comfortable bed, large room. Good shower.
It was advertised that a restaurant was available however that was incorrect
This hotel is ideal for an overnight stop en route to the continent. The staff are very friendly and although the hotel appears a bit run down it is very clean; needs a bit of tlc but for £40 per room it is excellent value.
It only has a small car park and parking on grass at the back of hotel which isn't very secure. The car park opposite is £1 per hour - quite expensive
Friendly helpfull staff
Cold hard bed & room. No decent signal on the TV kept breaking up. Noisy useless radiator.
People at reception
Must be updated bec ause of the very old interior and paint work.
Staff are great couldn't do enough for us
parking room size swimming ool maid service
wifi needed in rooms
CLOSE TO THE PORT AND THE TOWN CENTRE AND THE STAFF WAS VERY GOOD AND THE NIGHT PORTER
NEEDS AN UPDATE
Swimming pool and lift
Staff could have made more effort with customers, welcome was non existent. No explanation of facilities. Breakfast was good however but not adequate for £6.00 per person.
Room and sheets were clean Position of hotel
stained carpets, smell in corridors and room, run down atmosphere, very unattractive
friendleness of staff
no negatives I can think of
Everything Dirty Bed Bugs Smoking in rooms Unsavoury characters walking around Food was dripping in oil Dining room was dirty
Staff were all friendly
Bed was hard Bar was poor Breakfast choice was poor
Our stay at your hotel was a disgrace to say nicely when my husband and son went to the car there were drug users injecting themselves and when I open the patio door there were then around the back the hotel was nothing what it was like on the pictures we weren't informed until we arrived that the restaurant was closed so after a 4.5 hours of driving we then had to go back out in the cold.
Close to Port and good value, staff very helpful and only Hotel in Dover with a swimming pool.
Bedrooms badly need revamping. It could be made into an excellent Hotel, saddened to learn it's days may be numbered, would be a loss to Dover.
Closeness to ferry, large family room, staff were lovely
Outdated, was obviously beautiful once
This is a hotel which is obviously past it's best re decor etc, but you get what you pay for. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful - including recommending a great Italian restaurant! Linen was clean and the breakfast w nice and hot. The pool was a nice bonus after a long journey.
Would have been nice to have mattress protectors and separate pool towels.
Everything...Homeless DHSS in hotel to name but a few problems. Dated decor and bath had been painted in what looked like white gloss !!!
Perfect hotel to use as a stopover for the ferries
