Very good staff, very little fuss/hassle checking in and out. Breakfast was also fine and nice en suites to the rooms.
Location is a bit far from the town centre meaning taxis at nighttimes, only £4.00 though.
Loved how helpful the staff are and nothing is too much trouble
The plug for the hair dryer was too high on the wall near the mirror so i had to stand on a chair to plug it in
Convenient location, fair price
No evening available, despite sign
Used by us as an overflow from our daughters' house nearby. Very helpful owners, a comfortable room and bed, and a splendid breakfast in the morning - absolutely all we could ask for. Great value.
Outward appearance - don't be put off by this. The welcome, the rooms and the service inside is first class.
Peace and quiet.
Breakfast. Good for child...
location and friendly staff
cant think of anything to dislike
The hotel is clean and does just fine, the staff were polite and courteous, breakfast was nice and I slept well in a comfy bed. Wifi didn't work but hey ho. Overall 8/10
Bit of road noise but that's everywhere pretty much.
Location and was very nice quiet and just a 10min walk to the shore..very friendly
This hotel was spotless, incredibly clean and comfortable for the money. Breakfast was excellent with everything one would want
Did not have full time dining
It's was old worn and smelly damp on ceilings carpets dirty window ledges filthy reception dirty couldn't eat there... Also took more money than agreed!!!!
Local to park and ride railway station.
No facilities for an evening meal
Proprietor was helpful when I couldn't figure out how to turn on heat.
Lobby, such as it was, was dark and rather creepy. Halls and room were undecorated and very uninviting. Though a seaside town, this was in off season and I believe the hotel was overpriced despite being virtually deserted.
Price was great with a tasty breakfast too
Family run hotel. Out of town but Indian takeaway next door and hotel order and serve in dining room. Stayed here as short drive to airport, without being in Glasgow.
Close to train line but not a problem, used infrequently.
The quality of the meals was fine but the quantity of food was too much which detracted from the overall foogood impression
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and their family. All our requests were dealt with quickly and with a smile. Really nice friendly people and the curry was excellent! Will definitely return.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, the breakfast was lovely, very generous portions. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable.
The room didn't have a mirror (only a small one in the bathroom) this would have made a big difference. The shower only had a curtain rather than a screen or door so it was difficult not to get the bathroom floor wet when showering.
Welcoming helpful & clean. Even though it is a work in progress as i believe it has recently been taken over.
Rooms were spotless, shower was spacious and clean, owners were friendly and helpfull.
Rooms could do with updating
Staff were friendly and most helpful Room very comfortable Lovely modern fitted bathroom Breakfasts delicious and made to order TV in room with sport chanel so I could catch up on missed events at Commonwealth Games very easy access to Glasgow Close to Helensburgh a pretty seaside town Station only 10 minutes walk away
Towels could have been bigger in bathroom
Beds were comfortable Clean room Tea etc Very good breakfast
Reception area - dark and unwelcoming Bedroom rather small - but OK for 1 night Staff were polite but not very engaging
A clean comfortable room with a comfortable bed. Freindly staff and a good breakfast.
Our room had a bath with very old-fashioned fittings and a hand-held shower - fine for washing hair but no good for a shower. The 2 shelves in our room were coming off the wall!
I have been in many hotels over the past 5 years and I have to say I have never felt more at home than I do here. We only booked for 4 nights originally but ended up staying for 11 nights. It is a family run business and the inn keepers can't do enough for their guests. The breakfasts are awesome. Fresh juice and lots of choices and if you ask for something ie I asked if they had black pudding , they didn't but next day there it was on my plate, also they brought in gluten free bread for my husband when they found out he has celiac. It's little things like that that make a holiday. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and if and when we comeback to Helensburgh we will be staying here again. I believe I have made life long friends. Also the housekeeper Li is awesome and really helpful.
The hotel is a nightmare, the perfect location for an horror movie.
