County Hotel  

1. The fire alarm was activated three times falsely. 2. The soap, shower gel and tea facilities were either empty or nearly so. 3. The shower tray did not drain away properly and a shower had to be abandond to avoid flooding the bathroom. 4. Most of the others in my party were charged £70 for the night as opposed to my £130.

Friendly staff allowed me to check-in *very* late. Lovely room.

The food was 1st class.

Nice size rooms. Great food and room service. Plenty of well thought out in room amenities.

Poor climate control in the rooms.

Adequate parking and the staff were very helpful

The room was very small compared to other hotels we have stayed at and the hotel is in need of modernisation. Only one bath towel for two people, TV was smaller than a laptop. Price very high considering the facilities, we paid less at a hotel near Liverpool for a much larger room with better facilities and breakfast included.

Close to centre and station, own car park. Very helpful staff, we were immediately informed about items left behind, and arrangements made for returning them to us. Good food available at all hours.

The hotel was in a good location as we were attending a wedding reception nearby, staff very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast very nice. We would stay there again.

The hotel was within walking distance of shops and cathedral avoiding the problem and cost of car parking. The staff were friendly.

My single room was on the second floor, up a lot of stairs.

Not much really toilet seat and shower door both broken with a lol note to tell me so but for 75 pounds upwards can cost more for a single room. This is just poor.....

Everything was very easy and all arrangements worked with no mistakes.

The breakfast sausage tasted off.

We have stayed at the County Hotel on a previous occasion. We found it everything that we wanted, clean, the room was warm and the bathroom excellent. The location suited us perfectly, as we have relatives living very close to the hotel. The staff were helpful and there are plenty of facilities available in the rooms, iron, ironing board, tea and coffee with a helpful message that more milk and tea were available if we would like it. The breakfast was excellent.

The man on reception during the day on the 28th and 29th of January was so nice and very helpful :) he could not be faulted at all

The man on reception during the night I stayed was extremely rude! He made nasty comments as I come in and didnt smile even when I smiled at him.
