The room was excellent but the overall hotel is looking a bit drab.
The very friendly man on reception. Very helpful. Free parking
room 214 bed impossible to sleep in. Lumpy springs!
In the centre of town. Staff friendly.
It's a lovely building just needs some money spent on it.
Very poor tv/reception. Rooms could do with an update
Room was dirty and had numerous damaged items like shower head and rusty bathroom fittings ..plus hotel snelt horrible on level 2 .one room I booked had a leak from ceiling onto bed below at 3am .not good enough.
Lovely clean room friendly staff, everything you needed, central location for all the local shopping, cinema and food places.
The heat in the bedroom was unbearable at one point, no heat control for the radiators and one window was broke and the other was nearly impossible to open and we had to prop it open with the tissue box to get some fresh air in.
we liked everything about the couny hotel ideally placed and lovely and clean the staff couldnt have been more helpful and pleasant
it wasnt really a dislike the room was really hot
I was put in what can only be described as a broom cupboard, which backed onto the local night club. The springs on the single bed were protruding and the bathroom was filthy. The tv didn't work, neither did the wifi. This felt like the sort of place a contractor would stay and pay very little for the room. The hotel has some really lovely ornate features and could be nice if someone cared enough to make it good. I certainly wouldn't stay there again.
closeness to town and transport
Good location, clean well stocked bedroom.
Boiling hot- radiator in room would not turn off. Also we were unable to access the Wi-fi.
Location Friendly and efficient reception staff Parking Value for money (if one is looking for a basic stay without the frills).
Bedroom didn't have:soap etc. only one plastic beaker for two residents in the double room. No temperature control on radiator (or elsewhere) which made it difficult to reduce the high temperature of the bedroom (However this was a mixed issue as the temperatures outside were -5C). Couldn't open the sash window easily for ventilation. Showerhead was leaking badly. Extractor fan was disturbingly loud , however it went off immediately one switched off the light. No radiator in the bathroom.
Central for everything
Staff not very freindly radiator in room.filthy and couldnt adjust thermastat was burning.hot shower screen and tiles filthy
It was warm, clean and spacious in what would have once been an amazing building
Laminated A4 signs everywhere telling what you cannot do. It was noisy all night long. The staff airing their issues with ordering supplies, the decor is dated. It feels run down.
Location, price, staff, on site free parking.
Nice and Central Friendly staff Lovely breakfast
Mattress could have been softer
Restaurant was good portion sizes very good. Quality of food above average.
Room was too hot.
All over view of this hotel is that it suits me, location fab, rooms are fine and great breky
