The location is lovely, in a quiet village with pub within five minute walk. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable, especially the bed. Having a 'continental style' breakfast in the lounge area meant we could get up in our own time and choose what we wanted to eat when we wanted. If looking for bed and breakfast with a difference this is a good place to stay.
Really nice stay. The bed was amazingly comfy. Really clean and very well presented
Nothing it was a pleasure to stay there
The host, Edina, couldn't have been more helpful. She went the extra mile (literally) by giving me a lift to my work venue in the morning after my stay.
Edina was very helpful and attentive. Accommodation was very clean and the provisions provided for the continental breakfast were sufficient and regularly replenished. Very quiet and peaceful location in easy driving distance of attractions in the local vicinity.
Phone coverage - no the fault of Court Farm Barns I might add!
Really nice room - very spacious and quiet. location ideal for what I wanted. good local pub near by with excellent food.
Space, the room was in effect an apartment. Self service breakfast meant I could leave when I needed to rather than having to wait for service. Very clean, newly converted(?) Good quality furniture, shower etc. Ideal location and space for a holiday/long weekend break
Quiet location & well maintained
Quality of finish & furnishings, all great when we found it & will stay again. Waitrose pre-supplied bread/croissants/jam/cereal/milk in room for breakfast. Nice layout & lounge area. Great size shower room. Wi fi good, pity no smart tv to use it.
No signs or proper directions- it appears I did not get an email with this & payment methods which are cash & now paypal only. The barns are behind Court Farm, but the owners there are not the barn owners, they are next door at Court Cottage.Called there to get the keys after disturbing the farm, which happens a lot! Wall mounted LCD TV is ok but small & not even a modest LG/Samsung brand or a smart tv for i player etc-this is at odds with the otherwise high spec features & finish-a "grand design" with a Tesco-Telly.So too are the poor roller blind mechanisms, with faltering plastic bead "controls" which jam & snag at every operation. The mini fridge is noisy-I had to turn it off overnight-why not get a premium quieter one ? No sink on ground floor meant up & down the spiral staircase (may be unsuitable for some) to the elegant shower room. Mattress was too soft-needs a memory foam topper option-two normal sized people end up rolled together.
The location is lovely. Very good facilities: WiFi, TV. Nice touches including providing food, real milk, water, nice quality crockery and glasses, etc, etc. REALLY good Shower. I think the duvet was Goose Down.
We liked almost everything. The bed was comfortable, we had lots of room in a recently converted barn. The landlord spared no expense with furniture and materials. We also liked being on the edge of a charming Oxfordshire village. It was very quiet. The Six Bells pub was quaint and charming like one would expect of an English village.
The busy A329 ran through the village and one had to walk right next to traffic. No streetlights, so take a flashlight if you plan to walk to the pub. No petrol stations for miles around, so keep your tank at least half full.
Lovely location, a very relaxed atmosphere.
All very comfortable and very quiet yet handy for all we wished to do in the area. Friendly and helpful welcome.
Would have liked water supply/little sink downstairs to rinse out a cup or glass but mineral water was provided for kettle so I guess the owners are aware of this - the only negative for us.
Wonderful to have a sitting room and the bedroom! A very relaxing space.
Nice location. Quiet with good spacious accomodation. Private parking. Did not need anything else really. Close enough to Oxford.
No gripes really. Im not a fussy moaner.
We loved the space, the lay out of the barn. Was also a quiet area but still easy to get to what we wanted to see
Not hot breakfast, only cereal and toast. Also had trouble with the lighting
Good quality furnishings Very comfortable bed with nice bedding Excellent continental breakfast Very tranquil setting
Bathroom although high quality lacked clothes hooks and shelves Shower cubicle good quality but no accessories for housing soap shampoo etc Very very difficult to find barn no signs whatsoever near access map from website not very helpful telephone number given was an answer phone so took an hour to find property having found the correct road
Cash only payments.
Best nights sleep in any accommodation we have stayed in
Need coat hooks on back of doors for wet weather, table with kettle &toaster to low.
LOVELY PEACEFUL LOCATION......MORE THAN JUST A HOTEL ROOM
Loverly place to stay, easy to find with warm welcome from Claire,a very nice breakfast and a very old pub just down the road serving good food. Suite was exactly as discribed and very comfortable, would stay again
wi-fi was not working
It was home from home!
Everything was great comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, good breakfast, comfortable sitting room, lovely location, lovely welcome and one or two little problems sorted straight away. Will definately come again if in area
Could do with a sink downstairs so didn't have to keep going up and down stairs for water and washing up etc at breakfast.
Excellent choices for breakfast, comfortable and clean
WiFi is essential as we can keep in touch with our business and today it is available virtually everywhere - except the barns. Sort the WiFi out in the rooms and barns will have everything required. Website needs updating as some of the information given was no longer available.
Location, surroundings, staff, welcome pack, accommodation itself. I booked myself in for a further 3 weeks and possibly more so I must have liked it.
Minor niggle.....given self catering nature it would have been beneficial to have a sink - perhaps even a microwave. Washing up was done every day and replaced with clean though so I am being picky.
