The room was decorated lovely and you felt like at home. The grounds where breathtaking and everyone made you feel welcomed
If you left the bathroom door open after about 10 minutes the entire room smelt like sewage. Being 6ft 4inches fitting into the shower was a struggle.
Beautiful house, friendly staff, amazing setting - Painswick (especially around Christmas time) is idyllic.
The decor and cleanliness was very good and meals good. A lot of thought has gone into making the most of the place.
The room we had was so small would have been better with a single bed in it. There was no lift and as we were given an attic room the stairs were spiral with little head room .
Staff Friendly Location
Heating not working in our room. Had to move on and off to another room.
Welcome drink Quietness Individuality of the rooms
Lovely decor excellent service comfy bed great setting prosecco on arrival
Could not turn radiator down and it was on full all night and I was too hot to sleep. No staff after 9pm so we were stuck. Window was directly over head of bed so got cold draft on neck. Shower in bathroom was so low it was only suitable for people less than 5'7
I liked the large and comfortable bed and the quietness of the hotel especially through the night.
I found the hotel difficult to find and would have appreciated signs leading from the main road and at the entrance to a small side road that takes you to the hotel gates. I didn't like the fact that breakfast started at 8.30 yet I had to leave at 8.15. I had to get my own cereal as no-one was around. While the price was half the normal price and therefore acceptable. I would not have paid the normal asking price for a small room with separate bathroom.
My husband and I have recently returned from a two night stay at the Court House Manor. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we found the staff to be courteous, helpful, polite and very friendly. Our room was stunning, breakfast delicious, setting perfect. We will definitely be returning to try out one of the other rooms that they have to offer.
We thought it was a lovely place to visit
Location, stone throw to main high street. High quality fit-out. Barn has huge living space and great large flat screen TV.
Awkward breakfast table located in the Kitchen for guests of the barn. Quite dusty and stuffy in the Barn. Average quality of breakfast food. Not easy to find at night, not well sign posted.
Breakfast Staff Size of manor
Wifi wasn't the best
Absolutely faultless service from staff and lovely owners Max and Linda. The accomodation and comfort was exemplary, this is a place that everyone should experience! We will definitely return again, beautiful cotswold village and architecture.....magnificent, five stars+..........
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
I didn't like the fact that virtually the only part of the mannor we had access to was our bedroom. Even the grounds around the mannor was out of bounds due to somebody hiring certain rooms around the place. The quality of the cooked breakfast was good but very small portions were given out.
The situation is idyllic with superb accommodation. The building is of historical importance with sympathetic and luxurious adaptation inside. Ours was a November visit but the gardens were still impressive. Staff excellent.
Staff were friendly. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was fine.
Was hard to find without detailed directions.
*It was a nightmare to find the Manor. No signs posted anywhere and it was situated in a very narrow street you would never have guessed the was a manor in that area. *The room was all painted in black including the colour of furniture and bed sheets which felt warm and in general depressing. *The king size bed was two mattresses joined together which was very uncomfortable. *For the price we paid we expected to have a small fridge in the room. We were desperate for a soft drink at night time. We couldn't get from anywhere as there wasn't staff available after 10:30 and the manor was in the middle of no where. *A sound of continuous dropping of water was heard in the room every 5 minutes which lasted for approximately 1 minute which caused my wife have a restless night. *No shower gel only hair shampoo and body lotion in bathroom. *Around 8 am we could smell in our room fried bacon and sausages as if it was being fried in the room which nauseated me first thing in the morning. * Although the breakfast was nice but didn't like the way the bread was displayed. You have to slice it yourself. Not only I found it annoying, but also I found it very unhygienic.I didn't like the idea of everyone touching the loaf to hold it in order to cut a slice. The bread should be already sliced on the table.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Cleanliness and styling of the whole hotel and room is amazing.
Glorious house and gardens
No options onThe breakfast
Well designed, attractive room in a beautiful house, lovely gardens. Staff welcoming & helpful.
Some items not finished to same high quality as most, ie towel rail not fixed securely.
The residence is a beautiful property Welcome host was very warm
Breakfast was limited Attention to detail in the room
Fantastic building Perfect village with lots of restaurants / pubs Friendly staff Breakfast was yummy (and more than enough to eat!)
Would have been nice if breakfast could have been served up until 10am, instead of 9.30am as it's always nice to catch up on sleep when on holiday We stayed in the Sir Lancelot room which was a lovely room, but unfortunately right above the kitchen so was woken at 7.30am each day by staff below - this can't be helped I realise - more of a room tip Would have been excellent if the living room with fire was available, I realise it's only B&B so not an issue really, but would have nice to be able to sit somewhere other than the room
The room is very.nice, with modern and grnd decoration, is like my dream house! The breakfast was generous in quantity and good
The kitchenwares are very dirty inside the house we stayed. The floor and stairs are loosen, whenever u walk on them, there are noisy sounds and felt dangerous to walk on them
Booked for one night after seeing fantastic reviews on here. Stunning location, beautiful room and close to some very nice eating establishments. Staff were very welcoming and breakfast was very, very nice!
only minor issue if being fussy was that the room didn't have the complimentary dressing gowns and slippers! Also the shower didn't have any hot water the following morning!
Staff were really kind and helpful, room was massive, bed was huge and really warm and comfortable, location is amazing.x
Breakfast was really nice, but could of had more cooked brekfast choices, but loved this hotel.x
loved everything about the place
