its location and the staff
breakfast and old and dirty furniture.
Location was great. Rooms where large and clean.
if it is for me i will give the hotel 3 stars
Good food and an excellent location
Room was very much a budget room like staying in a travel lodge
Receptionist Laura impressed me and very helpful. Location is excellent
Price for a small room is too much. I paid extra to upgrade to a bigger room. But room is noisy on terraces.
very comfortable rooms and excellent location
Great size king size bed and good room size
Mould in the bathroom, hard bed, noisy outside from garbage and delivery trucks. We were on level one though. Also the coffee and tea was not refilled when we arrive and not each of the three days we stayed.
Breakfast hot buffet poor cleanliness could have been better
the concierge was very helpful and informative
room 616 was a dark room and not very well lit. quite a lot of noise coming from the patio area, especially the door. the sink had a bad crack in it and the shower didnt work. the shower for washing your hair leaked. not happy.
Drink provided while we waited for our room. Courteous staff. Breakfast included for one morning because of inconvenience. Upgraded room for second night.
Room not ready at 3 pm. Had to wait a further 1 1/2 hours. Room given was very hot and the fan provided was not really effective. It was also noisy. No plug for the bath although I didn't realise this till 10.30 pm when I wanted a bath after returning from a hot walk.
Location is perfect, but ...
No Wifi in the room. After 26 hours they arranged the Wifi. Very bad service, no understanding that I had to work in my room. This Hotel needs to be refreshed, it is old furniture, old bathroom, dirty carpets, breakfast very expensive, absolute no 5stars. May be 2 to 3 stars maximum. The staff has no 5 star service, the Spa is not what you should expect from a 5 star.
hotel was very central for most amenities
The hotel couldn't honour our booking as their "system" was down so we were relocated to The Bentley South Kensington.
Evrything was perfect for us! Located in great shopping areas. Rooms were big and beds were soooo comfortable! Bathroom was clean and new. Will deffo come back here on my next trip!
Nothing as for me!
The location is spot on for sighseeing or business
The breakfast is expensive and the breakfast room is very tired and in need of a complete refurbish. Some of the chairs are actually unsafe to sit on
The concierge was extremely helpful and very pleasant. That made the difference in our impression of the hotel (to keep it from being generally negative).
At check-in and check-out, they didn't seem to know what they were doing. I had the reservation confirmation, but that didn't help. The delay was lengthy and we were pressed for time so it was particularly annoying. The shower sprayed all over the bathroom and the tub did not drain.
I was contacted on my way to the hotel to be told that my room was not available due to water damage and we had been moved to a sister hotel. The Washington Mayfair was not in the area we wanted to be in and was extremely inconvenient for the things we had planned. We where told we had been upgraded and breakfast was now included well if that was an upgrade I would not like to be in a standard room with scaffolding outside the window! Although the breakfast was now included it was poor and the coffee undrinkable. I would never have paid £22 for it . Since this inconvenience I have not been contacted by the Courthouse Hotel they could not care less that this experience totally spoiled what was suppose to be a lovely weekend in London which we had been looking forward to for months..
Being upgraded for second night with breakfast included. Staff were helpful under difficult circumstances.
Room not ready when we arrived at 3 pm. Had to wait another 1 & 1/2 hours. No air conditioning. Given a very noisy fan so option of stifling room or unable to sleep in heat. No plug for bath. Final insult. Alarm woke us at 5 am.
I like the location, so close to shopping area in regent street and oxford street also to convent garden and picaddilly
Shower had terrible pressure Paying for wifi
Bottle skips being emptied underneath our window throughout the night
Location was a plus and the room was decent size.
We had a mouse in our room and had to be moved to another room in the middle of the night. The other room was not what we had paid for: the air conditioner was broken and we had to sleep in a king-size bed (paid for a twin room). We didn't get any compensation (like a free breakfast) and the staff just said that they were not responsible for the mouse. This new room had a direct view to an office in the next building (we could see the computer screens so it was pretty close to our room!). Next morning we wanted to change rooms to a twin room and the hotel staff said it was possible after 2 pm. When we get back to the hotel the staff just said that the air conditioner has been repaired and they can "divide" the king-size bed into two separate beds without giving us another room. Well this meant that they just provided us with two separate covers but we still had to sleep in the same bed. Needless to say we were VERY disappointed in the situation. Both of the rooms had also a lot of mold in bathrooms and the shower was not what one could expect from a 5 star hotel. Another minus was that even though wifi should have been available in the rooms (for extra payment of course) we had no reception in either of the two rooms we stayed in. So we had to stay in the lobby if we wanted to access wifi. So all in all, if this hotel had been a 2 or 3 star hotel we would be, not satisfied, but at least less surprised. Now, this hotel almost ruined our vacation.
The spacious and comfortable bed and the complete absence of any noise. Being left alone .
staining of bedroom carpet no plug for basin very limited tea / coffee / milk supplies
Location Staff were friendly and efficient.
Poor quality of the bedroom furniture. Doors falling off hinges, broken drawers. Breakfast was too expensive so we decided to eat elsewhere. WIFI in public areas only - not in our room.
