Nothing at all
We were supposed to have booked a room with two single beds however upon arrival we discovered that there was just one double bed and when we went to the reception to ask to change rooms we were told that they didn't have any other rooms available, on top of that issue we arrived back at the hotel to sleep at around 4am after being to the outbreak festival, when we arrived some of the rooms down the hallway where we were staying thought it would be a great idea to throw a party at that time in the morning which meant there was excessive levels of noise varying from music to screaming and shouting to banging doors which subsequently kept me and my friend awake until nearly 8am which I find highly unacceptable given that we had payed to sleep in the room, these same culprits had been smoking weed and cigarettes in their rooms and the hallway as that is all that you could smell as soon as you walked into the hotel, I can assure you that neither me or the friend that I stayed with or any of our other friends or relatives will ever stay at another Holiday Inn even if it was the last place on Earth
Rooms and food were very good and the staff were polite and helpful.
Location due mainly to the major roadworks nearby and lack of public transport. Taxi fares £20 each way soon adds up. Shaving mirror would have been helpful.
The staff were friendly and polite but needed bar skills and stock!
That most wines were out of stock the length of time it took to get anything an alleged large G&T that just tasted of tonic and was served with no ice or lemon and was the third choice of drink which I had waited so long for I had lost the will to live!!!
wait staff were quit nice and accomadating
House keeping seemed lacking. Bath soap was empty and never filled, luckily we had our own, and glasses used were left unattended and not cleaned.
All the staff were really helpful. Plenty of space in public areas for children to move around. Casual and relaxed arrangement for breakfast, yet food was varied, plentiful and well cooked. Really child friendly. Very large room and comfortable bed.
That nearby road works caused traffic to build up, at some times of the day, outside the hotel. This was a nuisance as we had to allow extra time to get anywhere.
Room was spacious and clean. Great nights sleep and bed was very comfortable.
Staff were rude and dismissive. Breakfast was limited and staff just wernt helpful. Was told to "just find a clean table" (there wernt many) and wasn't offered and tea or coffee and there wasn't much out for breakfast. Nothing was really refreshed. Made to feel like more of a burden than a guest.
Clean room Free wifi Good breakfast Good service
strange smell in the room Spider in the bathroom additional wifi
The lad at reception was very pleasant
Getting a good breakfast was hard work. Bacon had run out. Pastries were cold. Staff too few?
Good sized bedroom. Friendly staff. Good food in restaurant. Plenty of parking available. Room at back of hotel so no traffic noise.
Noise from other bedrooms. Having to wait for staff at dinner, breakfast and checkout.
Lovely stay - good staff VERY comfy beds excellent breakfast - would definately stay again
The staff are all polite, helpful and friendly. Julia in particular she was very nice and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable.
We couldn't fault anything about the hotel.
Nice clean rooms and a comfortable bed.
Confirmed with receptionist on arrival that late checkout was available but unfortunately the next day a phone call from someone else from reception asked me to leave the room as late checkout was no longer available.... Lack of communication! Not good customer service.
The staff sent back what we forgot , that was great ! Good food at the restaurant.
Old fashionned deco !
We stayed for a friends wedding reception at the hotel, staff were very attentive and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable
I thought the price of the room was fairly high, we paid £104 for a queen room with breakfast, not too expensive but have certainly stayed elsewhere for cheaper.
The staff were accommodating and polite and food was good.
No air conditioning in due room; no fridge to store cold drinks or ice as it was very hot that day and night; room smelt musty; stains on armchair in room and on the carpet; poor lighting in the room; no hand wash and not enough hand tissues; room service menues not consistent with the menues found at reception.
The price of the drinks! The need to have keys reset four times!
Service was Fantastic Food good Lovely hotel Good location
Couldn't find a lift Could feel springs through mattress
staff were excellent and friendly, Hotel was very clean and the food from the restaurant delicious
old fashioned furnishing and the toilet was in bad repair
Location good for road networks, hotel quiet and spacious, staff friendly and polite. Good breakfast, value for money.
It was a tired hotel, shower was just a dribble. Price was far too high for this standard of hotel, won't be coming back.
Only stayed one night ,very pleasant helpful staff. Very comfortable, very good breakfast choice and attentive waitress.
Large room, good facilities
