Everything. Comfortable beds, luxurious rooms, great food and fab staff.
There was nothing that I didn't like.
Staff are very professional and charming. Excellent beds and bedlinen/pillows. Lovely bath and bathroom with excellent lighting. Any complaints are dealt with with courtesy but when staying for only one night one does not want to spend any of it sorting out problems!
Although there were 5 separate lights in the room the bulbs were inadequate and it was very gloomy. Hair dryers etc cannot be used in bathrooms so a good mirror and lighting are essential in the bedroom. There should be tea/coffee maker, other hotels at this level have them. A nearby room was being renovated causing disturbance. My morning paper never arrived and part of my breakfast was missing.
Nice room, everything worked, well insulated against noise from the outside (not from the next room).
Staff did not know the way, not even to the next tube station. Wherever I wanted to go they advised me to take a cab, even to the airport at rush hour!!
This is lodging at its best. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, clean, and convenient to sightseeing, shopping, theater, and a wide range of cuisine.
Nothing, if you needed anything, there was a hotel staff person who would make it happen
They avoid any feeling of 'corporate' hotel here whilst maintaining consistently high standards. I've stayed here often and would move in if I could afford it.
No negatives. Discounts for previous customers would be nice.
The hotel is located on a wonderful street in an even more fantastic neighborhood. Your heart's desire! The hotel is gorgeous and well kept if not immaculate. The staff is attentive - though not anticipating your needs, so ask for what you need or want. They seem very happy to help! The resto is good. Room service was served hot. And again, the place is simply breathtakingly beautiful.
The rooms in this hotel are vastly diverse and have a completely different ambiance depending on if they sit on Monmouth St or the back side of the hotel. Some are more square shaped and some rectangular, etc... I had previously stayed in a bright spacious, wide room with my family (it must have been on Monmouth St side) which easily accommodated two adults and two small children. This time I reserved a higher category room than my previous stay and was expecting the same or better. Unfortunately we were put in an odd bowling lane shaped room in the back of the hotel. (It was very handsome in grey flannel pinstripes, but dreadfully dark because of its location) When I asked for another room the hotel could not accommodate my request for a room with more light - at first I was only offered a ground floor room on the back side of the hotel with windows literally on the sidewalk - and again very dark even on a sunshiny, blue sky day! Finally, they offered a first floor room on the back side which was not enough of an improvement to warrant moving after having unpacked and stayed the night. The bottom line is to ask for what you want (or expect) up front. Make NO assumptions! Because of my expectations, the room I had was not worth the money I paid and paying the bill was a bit like choking down raw liver! Lesson learned.
Luxury standards and extremely attentative staff!
This was the second time we have stayed in the Covent Garden Hotel and it did not disappoint. This time my daughter and I stayed as a post GCSE treat. Everything was perfect. Spotlessly clean, beautiful décor, delicious food and great staff. We were really spoilt. I'd like to thank the Room Service Staff particularly who had a great sense of humour and provided our breakfast eggs in the shape of a heart after reading our tongue in cheek 'special request' on the room service order form.
Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed. Attractive restaurant and other common rooms. .
Noisy bed room ( nr: 6).
Lovely accommodation, recently re-furbished and spacious. Luxurious bathroom. Comfortable beds. Décor traditional but superb. Location couldn't have been better for our plans. Staff extremely helpful and courteous. Drawing room worth a visit.
Everything !! The staff , the service , the facilities and the food
location - very good with staff being very positive and helpful .
the price was quite steep considering breakfast was not included
Best hotel experience ever. Were very professional and helpful. Location and ambiance can't be beat. Best nights sleep we had in Europe.
The decor was amazing! The staff could not have been sweeter to me. The location is really great right in the heart of Covent Garden in London.
There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom for the hair dryer or my tooth brush. A minor point.
Great staff and wonderful atmosphere. Excellent location and will definitely stay again.
Soho accessibility is always a bit tough
Staff, comfortable and surroundings
The staff were extremely attentive and polite. The rooms were clean, opulent and comfortable.
At one point we could not sit in the bar area as it is used by outside customers. However we were given our drinks in the lounge, which did not have the atmosphere of a lively bar.
Extremely caring staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Very comfortable and well appointed room. Excellent location in London near theatres, museums and good shops
Extremely high quality of customer service.
staff were very charming and helpful
no bath lighting not very good for applying make up
The Covent Garden Hotel was ideally situated, minutes from our theatre and handy for shopping. Monmouth street is a little oasis in a busy city centre. The rooms are spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and the staff are attentive and courteous. Food is excellent and the cocktails are second to none!
The hotel could do with a residents only bar / dining room. The main dining area and bar are first class but very popular with passers by and regular patrons making it extremely busy from midday until midnight. On our visit finding a place to sit was sometimes an issue. Whilst there is a small unmaned honesty bar in the longe this didn't really give us another serious option.
Brilliant location, friendly staff, fabulous food
