Friendly helpful staff, relaxed and also allowed pets. You were not made to think the pets were tolerated more accepted as part of our family Some of the areas were tired and in need of modernisation

Staff, breakfast. Hair drier - not fixed to the wall and no nasty curly lead. Comfortable room, but in serious need of re-decoration. Shower - it was rubbish. No tea in the room - only coffee. I don't drink coffee.

Nothing After having an un-welcome check-in we were shown to a room, the room was/is very very tired and dirty, the paper is peeling from the walls, marks on the bedding and the bathroom is a whole new story, dirt under the sink and all around the edge of the bathroom, mould on the wall, black mould around the bath, tap broken and the shower was not adjustable so when showering the water went over the top of the shower rail so had to shower with the shower head in my hand. Radiator was on full and very hot but the room would not warm up so therefore had to ask for a blow heater, this helped a little, the cold is due to the fact that there is drafts coming through the windows, we wedged the dirty curtains into the window to help stop the draft. We were booked into the hotel for three nights but only lasted the one night and checked out. The breakfast would have been nice as it looked great but was swimming in grease. In my opinion the hotel is well overdue some TLC and a deep clean.

The Hotel was conveniently situated between Glastonbury and Wells. The bathroom is in serious need of modernising. The shower head cannot to raised or lowered or the angle adjusted and there were no shelves to place shampoo or toothpaste and tooth brushes. If the bathrooms are modernised, the Hotel would deserve at least another star rating.

Big self contained room. More chalet style than hotel room. Comfortable bed. Great full English breakfast. Poor reception, bell can't be working, absent staff had to hunt for and bang doors to get attention to check in. Freezing cold room took ages to warm up once we turned radiator on. decor outdated and chintzy, damp peeling bathroom, nasty undrinkable complimentary coffee, identifiable stains on furniture, had to hunt for staff again at breakfast.

Coxley Vineyard was a good base for exploring the area of the Mendips. We visited Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury and the Clarks Village at Street, as well as Wells itself. The room was clean and very spacious. All the staff we saw were helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were freshly cooked and there was plenty of choice. We had an excellent meal in the dining room on our first night, but were the only people eating there!

The staff in particular were very polite & accommodating. The paintwork could do with updating on the windows & doors. Also could do with a bit of a face-lift in the rooms but not too much to spoil the slightly Victorian look of the rooms.

Substantial for my stay although not having a car was a bit inconvenient. Could do with having an a la carte menu on offer so that one doesn't have to ask for details.

Location I'm afraid the reality didn't live up to the promises of the web site. The decor was a little tired and dated, with a little more investment this could be great.....but it wasn't.

The hotel décor is a little dated, but it gives it much more character than your typical chain hotel. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. The Breakfast was included in the price and was plentiful and good quality I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet countryside get away. The tv was a little small and grainy, which is a small issue with so many positives

The breakfast was fantastic - the best full English I've ever had! The staff were always very friendly and helpful. We were disappointed the pool wasn't in use and suggest the webpage be updated to reflect this. The rooms and bathrooms do need updating but the sheets and towels were changed every day and we were very comfortable.
