Great welcome and good size room breakfast excellent.
Difficult to find in dark as hotel sign not lit.
The friendly staff
The house is difficult to find.
Nicely decorated, good facilities, excellent bed. Breakfast is good
The fact I had booked a double room and was given a small single (can't say it's the owners fault as another guest was sick and couldn't leave) but was charge the same amount. I should have been given a discount to be honest. The wifi drops out when in the room but is consistent in the communal rooms. The property is actually quite hard to find but the owner is very helpful in getting you there.
Beautiful B & B in stunning location with fabulous views. Lovely large old house which is very sympathetically decorated and furnished to bring out the character of the building. Gary was a first class host looking after us really well. His breakfast was fabulous with so many choices and exceptionally well cooked and presented.
Weather was warm and sunny during day but got very cold at night. Room was quite cold as windows are a bit drafty and heater too small to heat up the rather large room adequately. Shower room for this large family room is very small, poss a converted cupboard, with no heating that we could see.
Everything,Gary was an absolute gem.The perfect host made us feel at home, recommended places to visit,as for breakfast nothing was too much trouble, varied choice every morning, always piping hot, cannot fault anything.
pleasant host. good choice at breakfast comfortable bed .clean comfortable décor and structure very good
difficult to find even with a satnav central heating poor. very cold rooms. heated towel rail not functioning. no table in room. nowhere to put drink etc
This really was a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of hotels I have stayed in. The personal service received was warm and the owner was very proactive in making sure all our needs were met.
The stay was not long enough!!
the room the staff the shower the breakfast the reception from Gary
it was cold
Great host, wonderful house and excellent breakfast.
Very friendly, very easy to find, lovely night. :)
The location was excellent, although a bit difficult to find because it's not actually in Dover, but River Village. Very good park and drive only 10 mins away into Canterbury. Gary the owner was very welcoming and was always on hand should any problems arrive. We had a brilliant two night stay and definitely stay there again.
everything nothing was too mutch trouble
Surprisingly big room/bathroom/bed. Everything clean, nice view, good and quiet location. Delicious breakfast.
I'm 6'5", tables at breakfast a bit low.
The property itself was beautiful, and the staff was so friendly and helpful.
Owner allowed me to go in earlier and put my bags in room, so I could explore the countryside. He was very helpful and couldn't have made me feel more at home. I felt immediately comfortable. I had a bathroom and toilet to myself, which was adjacent to the room, which was very cosy and comfortable. Will definitely be back again for a visit. The next day started with an excellent breakfast, home cooked with fresh pots of tea. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Impressive big room and ensuite bathroom. Nice shower and some toiletries even provided. Big comfy bed. Great views and great looking garden but a bit cold to go out there this visit. Breakfast choices brilliant. Very impressed with this place and would definitely stay again. Within easy drive of ferry or tunnel.
Not the owners fault at all, but don't rely on sat nav for directions. Can easily get lost, or I did anyway. Had good directions from the owner how to get there.
Everything was excellent, unfortunately we left early in the morning so we could not stay for breakfast
Have used many b&b, but this was excellent overnight stay after travelling from the north to catch a ferry the next day. Excellent welcome, wonderful property, very friendly host, very good breakfast. Will definitely use whenever we travel via Dover.
Gary very helpful with info for eating places, plus directions. Would have been very happy to stay for a week but just needed b and b on way to Dunkirk for Remembrance day. Hope to return one day when in Dover.
My wife and I liked everything about our stay. we could find no faults at all.We were made very welcome by Gary and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We shall stay there again on our trips to Dover
There was nothing that we didnt like. and could find no faults at all
The house owner was very friendly and helpfull, cooked a good breakfast. The room was rather big with an attached big bathroom with a good shower.
House was difficult to find in the dark. The room was on the street side, with a lot of traffic on the busy road. The high bed had a soft mattress that wasn't very comfortable.
Old fashion fixtures and fitting and big house feel
Damp musty smell
Very nice owner. Very helpfully & great with our 20 month old daughter. Thank you
Very friendly and excellent staff (Gary) Very good value for money Exceptional breakfast
Poor WiFi signal Hotel located on busy main road Dated bathroom and toilet Incorrect postcode on website which meant that I had trouble finding the B&B
