The hotel staff were welcoming and the bedroom as very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The drawing room was relaxing. The meal at £35 per head was far too expensive. Bar meals would be more appropriate and would have stayed to eat there if there had been a choice of food. No porridge on menu at breakfast.

The personal approach of the Donnelly's and the intimacy of the hotel. The food was first class and the views from our room of Loch Ness were breathtaking.

Awsome place of peace. If you like nature and animals it's the place. In addition you can have dinner if you announce it the morning and the meal is excellent for the price. The staff is excellent and lovely. We will come back and not only for the delicious desert.

The food was excellent and the comfort of the lounge was first class. If I'm to be critical, I think the outside was a bit scruffy and could have done with a coat of paint.

The overall stay was lovely. Nice view from the hotel overlooking the Loch. Staff friendly, rooms a little dated but very clean. Nice short walk to a waterfall. Would recommend this place to stay. The only negative for me was the hairdryer was a travel one and took a long time to dry my hair. Also tv a little small too. But that is me being really picky.

The view across Loch Ness Our stay was good. We have been touring the UK from Australia for 4 weeks now and were very pleased with the room location. The view over the water was fantastic. Shower was somewhat difficult to use and hot water took along time to come through. In fact my shower was only luke warm for the entire shower. Toilet didn't flush very easily. Driveway was gravel which made it difficult to move heavy luggage in and out of the hotel. No lift, so lifting heavy suitcases up stairs was a bit of a hassle. Breakfast was at 8.30am which we were not aware of as we wanted to get going early for a tour. House keeper did let us in to the dining room earlier which was great.

The service was great, the room we had overlooked Loch Ness and was lovely. It had wireless internet which we have found very helpful. The meal at night would have left us hungry, if it wasn't for the big dessert. All of the other courses were very small. Dinner cost 30 euro each person. Because you're out of town a bit, it is more convenient to dine in, but I wouldn't do it again.

Fantastic location. Family run hotel, staff very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was reccommended, the location and views are amazing, unfortunatley the hotel is looking a little tired which is a shame beacause it has the opportunity to be outstanding with a little more attention to detail. The evening menu is a set 5 course dinner there are no other options of eating in the hotel in the evening, so that turned out to be a little pricey and also rather a lot of food if your'e not a bigger eater.

The hotel is ideal for a relaxing break surrounded by breathtaking views. We were impressed by the service from friendly staff and the food was superb. We were in a room with a forest view, our bed was comfortable, we had a good shower, and everything was clean and well maintained. We would definately visit again for another relaxing break. Only criticism was the set menu. It was fine for us as we were only there for one night but if you were staying for longer it was quite expensive. A small selection of bar meals served in the superb conservatory would offer a choice.

Lovely staff and location make this hotel an excellent place to stay. The food is superb and the view of the Loch was perfect. Only slight niggle was the bed - it was very small and the mattress a little lumpy. Other than this we had a wonderful time.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff, although the location was wonderful too, with great views over Loch Ness. I particularly enjoyed relaxing in the lounge before and after dinner, with the log fire and comfortable sofas.

Perfect place to relax and re-charge the batteries. Views are stunning, food was amazing. Staff were great. We were made to feel at home the moment we walked in. Would recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a short break to relax and enjoy the local area. Couldn't find fault with anything during our visit. Excellent.
