Very noisy extractor fan in tiny bathroom. Smallest bathroom mirror ever. Staff obsessed with the need to have us book for dinner the minute we arrived before we had a chance to comtemplate alternative options.

Toilet difficult to flush shower on off button broken floor creaked loudly with every movement no milk withe tea facility

Nice room, helpful, polite staff. Excellent value. Plenty of parking and a convenient, quiet location.

Internet connection to the hotel not working, and no apparent effort to get that sorted out in the three days I was there. No bath available, only a shower.

Excellent Staff Good Room

The food was excellent although breakfast extremely pricey at £17.95, for a 3 star hotel this is expensive, we stayed in the Newton Hotel in Nairn which is a 4 star Hotel, breakfast there was 12.95, much better breakfast at the Newton too.

Could not get tea or coffee while relaxing in the lounge area, bar prices more expensive than a 4 star hotel, room was extremely small and more suited to a single person, view was terrible, looking out into a small area, view of hallway across from room, and pigeon poo and rusty pipes, worst room with a view I have ever stayed in.

Overall experience was good.

Of the two room I had booked one of the rooms (101) could not be cleaned as the spare keys were not available.

My wife and I liked everything about the hotel and not find fault with anything

Most of the staff were quite friendly but the kitchen staff really let the hotel down.

The time we had to wait for our meal on the first night there. We decided to go a la carte and this was a mistake as the kitchen couldn't cope. We waited and waited and eventually we got our starter. My main meal of minute steak eventually arrived overcooked and cold. It was taken away and put under the grill to heat it up - not very good with salad! This was replaced and we weren't charged for our meal but it could have been handled much better, especially by the manager the next morning.We did feel like the youngest there and felt that the hotel, although it had just reopened was needing some attention and was a bit run down. While we got a very good rate for our two night stay it certainly wasn't worth the full price.

Bed was harder than we are used to and caused some wakefullness.

The Hotel was warm and inviting. A minor problem with the TV was solved immeadiatley by staff. Breakfast was tasty and could changed from the menu on request.

No iternal Phone in my single room, so when needed any thing from reception one had to visit reception. Not good for disabled guest. As there was no mobile signal at the hotel. To commicate with colleagues a trip to town was required to make a call.

The hotel was charming and the service was great. Staff went out of their way to help. We needed to have car service and it was a bank holiday. Hotel staff telephoned until they found a garage that would take care of us. It was all done with a smile. We will certainly stay here again if we get the chance!

The price was very reasonable considering the area.

There was no telephone in the room, so I was unable to make any calls or call room service which on two occasions I needed to do. Additionally there was no written instruction to say if there even was a room service or how to work the TV, which had very few channels, two of which were a very weak signal so viewing was pointless. The mattresses were very poor quality with visible springs which could be felt when you lay on the bed and the bed cover was extremely thin and only just adequate. A large person would have had a cold back. Lighting extremely dim in the bedroom and wallpaper coming away from the wall in places. At breakfast on the first day my room number was not even on the guest list, but I found my name listed under a different number, where I was shown as a couple. This seemed to really confuse the staff who kept asking when the other person was.coming for breakfast.

The food was excellent and proportions generous. We had the benefit, unexpectedly,of live entertainment provided by local musicians

Our room en suite had no bath,only a shower. The peeling paintwork to the timber porch gives a "run down" impression of the hotel which in no way reflects the quality of the interior. The kerb appeal factor may discourage the casual visitor to the Craiglynne,all for the modest cost of 'a lick of paint'

It was fine old hotel and pleasant staff. We had a dog with us and he was catered for very well.

Having known the hotel since 1950, I was disappointed with the state of the entrance porch - paint peeling, roof leaking - and this should be replaced A.S.A.P. The entrance is very important to all visitors and creates a bad impression at present.
