I liked the fact that it was near to town centre. Due to disturb sleep from noise in next room, I slept in and my clock was at wrong time so making me an hour late for breakfast, however I didn't realise this until after but the staff didn't mention/prevent me from having something to eat which I appreciated, really sorry about my error!! I found the noise from the room next door ridiculous!!, I don't know if the family in the room were being extremly noisy and inconsiderate or the walls are paper thin. I had my window open and several times someone was smoking outside and the smoke was coming into my room.

Large car park, easy to find The bedroom decor was very tired, drab and 1970'S. The overall condition of the room wasnt great, and in dire need of redecoration.

Room very nice, clean and comfortable. Food also very good and good value for money. Changing room for leisure facilities very cold and had a bit of a funny smell - but facilities themselves good.

Food was just brilliant, the all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast was just the best ever, this hotel does not supply cheap cuts of meat and dresses it up as lamb like most hotels, Pool looks great but on the small side. This hotel has some of the best beds in Scotland they are so comfortable, The staff at this hotel will do whatever it takes to make sure its guest are looked after. One tip when you arrive if the heating is not working call recpetion 200 and ask to switch it on and you need to open the return valve bottom right of the rad and thats about it. We have already rebooked for next month as it was one of the most relaxing stays we have had in our own country hotel stays! Bar prices are cheap compared Aberdeen hotels. Nothing apart from some carpet staining that needs replacing in the main lobby and the lift that seems to have a mind of its own!

Lovely hotel and staff, have recommended to lots of friends who have all enjoyed their stays Someone emptying bins just outside our room at about 5.30 in the morning which woke us up

Our room was recently refurbished to a very high standard. I could not fault it in any way. The staff were all friendly, pleasant and helpful in a most efficient manner. The price was so reasonable for the facitilies provided. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to all. The public areas are starting to look a little dated but I'm sure this will be decorated soon.

Location. Original building is very attractive & comfortable. Nice, friendly staff. Suite was noisy [heating/aircon I think]. Furniture, fittings and decor in desperate need of refurbishment. Comfortable bed, but no bedside tables. Half the lights not working. Hope it is to be updated very soon. Didn't use swimming pool as it was closed between 2 and 5pm when we had hoped to swim before our function in the evening.

Excellent value for money. Spotless room. A simple meal cooked to perfection. Comfortable bar with real fire. Pool small but great for a quick dip to start the day. All in all a very good experience. Shame the sauna wasn't working.
