The Craigtay Hotel is superbly situated close to central Dundee, and also close to Dundee Airport. The hotel is surrounded by numerous world famous Scottish links and championship golf courses including St Andrews. Renowned by golfers and business travelers in particular for its warm and friendly atmosphere, where the staff have a can-do attitude, and where, unlike a big city chain hotel, you are welcomed as part of the family and not treated as a number. Excellent Tay fishing, and some of the finest walking in Scotland in the Angus Glens, in close proximity. Combine this with great heritage of Dundee, the great outdoors, big country touring and sightseeing and adventure opportunities. Make the Craigtay Hotel your base for exploring Angus, Fife, Perthshire and the Scottish Highlands. Or just relax, unwind and rediscover yourself. And if you are planning an event or celebration, whether business, pleasure or both, the hotel can meet all your needs expertly. They offer a complete conference management service. Hotel Rooms: 18

The restaurant was nicely appointed and the food good. The room was old, the blankets on the end of the beds looked old and dirty. The room was very small, no soap in the tiny out-of-date bathroom and ended up being the worst hotel of our 11 night trip and the most expensive!

Not a good experience staying here, the one thing in its favour was that it was on the door step to my appointment next morning

It was available at short notice and cheap. The fact that the advertised 8 A.M. breakfast on Saturday was not available - the bar man turned up at about twenty past and then proceeded to be cook (I think), waiter and cleaner!

Amazing quality of breakfast, good location to shopping in city. Can only advise this hotel if the price is very cheap. Old and run down guest room. Bathroom with no shelving or ventilation. No lift ! a long walk upstairs for an elderly person. Girls on front desk gossiping about guests when they think nobody can hear. About 3 tv channels worked on the tv. Room very stuffy with that "old smell".

Wide choice of breakfasts in menu, large and well equipeed room, the staff was nice and helpful. Good value for money. The bathroom needs refurbishment, WiFi Internet not available in the room, only in the bar. Don't expect silence, you can hear everything from neighbors room.

Staff was responsive to challenges. Restaurant looked like it might be very good, but only got to experience breakfast. Signage was very visable for drivers starting about a mile from the hotel. Was told internet "didn't reach to my room (and several others)". Code to enter building late at night was not working so had to wake someone to get in (although response was very quick.) Felt like there were holes in the floorboards under the carpet. Very "blind" exit from the parking lot, difficult to see oncoming traffic.

It was clean and the price was right. The location was handy for working in Dundee Not enough staff on in the morning so the poor waiter was also the receptionist and the cook so breakfast wasnt great, although the chap was very helpful under the circumstances.

“Everyone was very friendly on arrival and all through our stay. First impressions very nice. Looked like a normal pub with flower baskets not your usual Premier Inn. Beefeater on the building very well decorated and staff very impressive. Could not do enough for everyone. Breakfast and evening meal excellent.” Dawn, Archiestown |
