Sadly we paid a huge amount of money for what we thought would be luxury accommodation but instead we found the cottage to be freezing and its facilities seriously lacking. We have 3 kids and one on the way and the kids were up all night crying as it was so cold with no way to turn the heating up and no one on hand to call. The only way to fill the bath was through the shower which at best was a trickle. I have tried to get in touch with the owner on several occasions but to no avail. We have been completely ignored. Not only would I not recommend staying here I was strongly advise against it. It seems the owners only wish to make money and not build a rapport with the people hiring the cottages. What a shame as it had potential. We will never stay there again.
As above as sadly there was not much to like.
Very pretty rooms and well fitted bathrooms and kitchen. Good size bedrooms plenty of cupboard space. Comfy sofas and good kitchen. Beautiful rural location - yet easy to get to local sights. Excellent pub at end of the road The Old Inn....open fires and fantastic ale and food..
Curtains are very flimsy in the bedroom and see through. Not good as its a well built up site and lots of windows looking onto each other and apartment was on ground floor. Also there are a lot of bright lights left on at night so kept us awake. The apartment was very clean but when we arrived the window in the bedroom was open and the clean white bed was covered in black cat hair. Lots of cats and dogs wandering around outside. Still a lot of building work going on which did not really bother us but would have been nice to be told before we booked.
Décor and style and extremely comfortable bed. Bathroom was very well fitted. Kitchen great but lacking some basic utensils.
Service was lacklustre on arrival and departure, grubby sourer/sponge in sink and cobwebs. Lukewarm overpriced cooked breakfast and weak filter coffee. Great concept poorly executed.
Friendly relaxed clean comfortable great location and spacious
No Wi-fi box could not get a strong signal to connect
The room was clean, new and a reasonable size.
On arrival staff did not have our details and we had to wait for several phone calls to be made to check us out, rooms packed too close together hence noisy neighbours, lack of cutlery/crockery to eat and drink with even though this is called self-catering, WiFi did not work. Only the price was luxury!
Nice rooms. Should be a nice venue when all works are finished.
-Wifi did not have great signal and did not work sometimes. - Overall our check in felt messy & disorganised and took quite some time. There was no one at reception to meet us & we had to wait added to this booking.com had not sent through the booking. After waiting to check in the travel cot we had requested was supplied to us with any linen. At this point we gave up try to get it sorted.
Loads of space for our puppy Stanley to have a good run about and super close to river cottage HQ for out lunch!!
Ongoing work and lack of clear car parking. But sure to be resolved in time
Kitchen well equipped - nice space
Building work going on outside - noisy and we could not sit outside... Very poor lighting in the flat - especially bathrooms and sitting room Ventilators in bathrooms did not work and no real separation to bedrooms
Picturesque setting in a quiet location with well maintained, modern accommodation. Helpful staff.
Short check in time when the office is 'manned' (3 - 6 pm) and no one there when checking out
Very nicely equipped and furnished.
Think it was very overpriced. Do NOT rely on wifi, the signal was non-existent and should not be advertised as having wifi. There was also building work going on 10 feet away from our accommodation, cutting stones etc so VERY noisy plus dust went all over the car. We were not advised before our stay and the works will be going on for some time.
Accommodation was excellent.
Works was being carried out at weekend we was there other than that it was fine.
