This is a great B&B. The rooms are fantastic. Clean. Well equiped. The breakfast is fantastic. I'd highly recommend the omelette. There's a great pub over the road. A shop. Cash machine around the corner. A brilliant find.
Noise of traffic so bad they even supply ear plugs bathroom toiletries not replaced when room was serviced
Location, great welcome and breakfast
Good location, welcome from the owners
all of the stairs up to the top floor
Comforatble rooms, nicely decorated. Friendly owners and a good location. The omlette was awesome!
the room was very good ,high ceilings, big windows looked newly refurbished to me.the breakfasts were excelent and the staff freindly.nothing not to like.
Breakfast was very good. The full English breakfast. Was the best I have eve had. The decor is really good.
When you arrive you are given sweets on your towels, visceral and bottle water, but then that is it the next days there is none of these but still the same cost. You will have the minimum attention to the room. For a 4 star i would have expected every day to be like the welcome.
Welcoming and friendly atmosphere
The room and the house is beautiful decorated, the owners are very kind, breakfast was great, the B&B is located at the center of Torquay.
The street in front of the hotel is very noisy, so you cannot leave the window open or you have to use earplugs.
The guest house is in a great spot for getting about. The owners are lovely people that genuinely want you to have a good time whilst your there. The rooms although cosy are very clean and have everything and more that you'd want. I would recommend to a friend without a shadow of a doubt and we would stay there again.
The only downfall to the guest house is the parking which in all fairness is in the write up, but it literally is a first come basis and a lot of the streets around the guest house are double yellow lines.
Breakfast very good.
Unable to sleep as room too hot.
Room was spotless with very attentive hosts serving excellent breakfast.
A bit noisy when the windows are open no fault of the owners.
The food was nice and owners friendly
That our room was up six flights of stairs being pregnant I found this to be more of a work out than a relaxing holiday .. Also it said in original advent 5 min walk from town it was in fact 20 min walk
The amiable hosts, I was made to feel very welcome. The location was perfect for my purpose and I was very comfortable in an extremely clean environment. Needless to say the breakfast was also second to none.
Such a nice boy helping with breakfast service but having to endure the sight of his underwear under jeans halfway down his bottom ! I know it´s the modern way but please - not over breakfast.
Very friendly owners, Position, comfortable beds and Great breakfast
Everything about the Cranborne is first class from the rooms with extras (fridge and fan) to the location. The owner was friendly and helpful creating a very relaxed atmosphere. Parking was hit and miss but this appears to be the same wherever you stay so I did not class this as a minus. It was not hard to find a municipal 24 hour car park at a reasonable price nearby. (at bottom of road). It might be helpful to guests if this information was available in the welcome pack. An excellent 3 days stay would come back for a longer stay.
Very friendly hotel which was spotlessly clean. Very central for beach, town and restaurants. Leighton and Amanda went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We will return again.
Would have preferred a lower room but we booked late and ended up on the top floor.
Good english breakfast. Staff was very nice. Location was pretty ok.
Room is a bit noisy because of the street, but earplugs are offered and this helped. The bed is really too soft and bendy/noisy because of the springs, so noisy and not so good to sleep on. But maybe english people like their bed like this.
Great service and breakfast. Good location and comfortable rooms.
This guest house is a an ideal choice for holidays in Torquay. It is in a nice part of the town - close to everything but still quite calm. I had an en-suite single room on the first floor - it was lovely, clean and spacious. Excellent breakfast with a good choice of cold/hot options (full English was delicious!). The family running the hotel are very nice people, always ready to help. I also appreciated the guest house did not accept children under 16 - that makes it optimal for single travellers and couples, appreciating quite places.
Nothing, I could think of. I had a wonderful week at the Cranbourne Guest Accommodation and would definitely stay there again.
Our hosts couldn't do enough for us. Their attention to detail was very pleasing. Lovely breakfast as was the coffee and chocolate treats on our arrival! Would stay there again..
Not a criticism but merely a comment that the road outside was busy and therefore quite noisy at night.
Welcome of the hosts. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and had a fan on to cool before we went in.
Bathroom was quite small
Friendly owner, good breakfast and very clean room
