Hotel very beautiful and owner very nice.
The location was fantastic, the staff were polite and extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Everything was lovely here. Lovely accommodation, absolutely beautiful Village and John made the best breakfasts we had in England. Thanks John and Emma
Friendly staff, lovely breakfasts, close proximity to village centre.
Shower was a trickle... and controls were unresponsive. Sink taps worked the wrong way! No iron in room, or anywhere else! Bed was a bit small for my 6ft1in husband!
Staff was incredibly attentive, breakfast was well served, spacious room with all kinds of comforts, super close to main street, all info about Cotswolds region.

We stayed at Cranboune House in late September 2014. We had been on Holiday in Italy and decided to visit Bourton on the Water on our way back to the States. After a warm welcome and tour of the House, John carried our bags to our lovely room the Chedworth. It was tastefully decorated and Emma had left delicious cookies as an afternoon snack. The room and bath were were very clean and the bed very comfortable. The Breakfast in the morning was exceptional. There were many things to choose from and I enjoyed Farm fresh eggs poached to perfection with lovely bacon and delicious tomato. The setting in the Dining Room was very nice and we enjoyed having our toast arrive on a toast rack. The Lounge and the Conservatory have lots of magazines and Emma and John provided us with ideas and dining suggestions which were helpful. The location is great being able to walk to many sites. Thanks again Emma and John and we hope to visit again. Denise and Rocco Florida, USA
The young couple who ran the B&B were very friendly and helpful. location was just right little way from the main drag but not too far to walk. Room was clean. Breakfast was excellent. Parking just in front of accommodation. Couldn't fault the hospitality.
A little expensive for a B&B and facilities that were on offer.
Didn't stay longer!
The whole experience was excellent. Special thanks to Emma for the daily cakes!
Hot water a bit too hot!!
Everything. The couple were delightful. Their attention to detail was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. AND they make fabulous cakes and tiffin, which they leave in your room for you to enjoy after a day out.
No bad points!
We spent a week at Cranbourne House and enjoyed it tremendously. All of the staff were genuinely interested in ensuring that our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious each day with fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts to accompany the cooked meals. Emma, John and all the staff made our stay a true pleasure.
While parking was available on site. It could be considered a bit tight for those not used to driving in the UK. That being said, there were no issues and each evening we all managed just fine.
Food, furniture, linens, staff--all were wonderful. The location made it easy to walk everywhere. We took busses to nearby towns or hiked. One reason we chose you was proximity to busses, to see if we could do the trip with no car. We previously had rented cars. (It would be useful to urge visitors to book ahead for dinners: this was a problem for us and others we met.) Boris saved us by finding our reservation.Wi fi usually worked, not always in every space, but adequately.
Our reservation was somehow lost over a credit card number problem! We arrived and found Boris, thank heaven. (The propriator was on his honeymoon which is a great reason to be absent!) Our bed was not very comfortable; it was soft and sagged when 2 people were in it. The bedside lighting was poor for reading; no light in the room accommodated reading. A bright light next to the chair perhaps?
The comfort of the room, the quality of the breakfast and the kindness of the staff
The first half of the stay wifi wasent working in the room
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very tasty. It takes 3-4 min to walk to the river.
My room is not air-conditioned. But we stayed there in August, and it is not hot at all.
Decoration and comfort Town where Cranbourne House is located and it's convenience to other places we wanted to visit Lovely server (owner) at breakfast Delicious breakfast
There could have been more effort in providing info and recommendations about the area Lack of flexibility on simple substitution request at breakfast
I pluss my daughter and soninlaw liked everything about cranbourn house we thouroughly enjoyed our stay the house and hospitality was excellent.
breakfast wonderful but a little bit early but not a problem.
We had a fabulous stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners .John and Emma have raised the bar for all the other hotels in the region. Can't wait to visit again.
We thought John and Emma made us very welcome and were very professional. We loved everything about Cranbourne House especially Emma's homemade cake/ biscuits with our afternoon tea and breakfast was excellent. Very close to the town as well.
Emma and John did everything to make the stay most enjoyable. The decor of the B and B was beautiful and the breakfasts were something to look forward to. We didn't really feel like leaving.
Excellent room & facilities. Very friendly welcome & atmosphere. Great breakfast. Good location, quiet, 5 mins stroll from village center. A great place to stay.
Nothing to dislike.
Room was superb, and bed was very comfy, easy walk into Bourton on the water, staff were very welcoming and took time to chat and suggest places to visit and eat. Breakfast was excellent made with local produce, nice touches with buns left to enjoy with a cuppa for when you return later in the day. Would definately book again when next in the area.. 12/10
Wifi was rubbish but that didnt spoil our holiday one bit.
They have the knack of being friendly and informative but not intrusive. We were in the Annex, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves (the 2nd bedroom in the annex was unoccupied at the time). Wonderful, spacious rain shower. Good free wifi. Delicious breakfast with all ingredients of high quality, especially the fruit salad and homemade muesli. Very relaxing place. Very quiet at night. Hiking material you can borrow.
My husband thought the place had new carpet smell which he didn't like because he fears chemical smells. I smelled it also but it didn't bother me. Sure it will wear off over time.
This was just a pleasure. Great hosts and really nice rooms. Lots of space for 6 of us to relax in the Garden, Conservatory or Lounge. Breakfast was good and the Cake fantastic.
There were no dislikes.
