“It's location is reasonably close to the tube station. It's on a side street that is quieter than a main street. It's clean and for the most part the staff were polite.”

Don't stay here. It was filthy--I wore my shoes in my room and sacrificed a towel to wash our bathroom floor. There was a literally a teaspoon of crud/dirt in each corner of the bathroom floor--the carpet was scary. It smelled of urine. They supply rollaway cots--not beds. As a couple we got 3 cots--not a double bed. We asked and were told to keep checking back as she didn't see any available double type room. There is a hair dryer you have to hold the button to stay on. No other amenities (no kettle/coffee machine, no microwave, no iron, no bath sized towels, no secure windows, no nothing as expected in a typical hotel). Continental breakfast is tea, toast and cereal. Breakfast staff were very pleasant. Front desk staff were overly rude. The front desk staff chose to disconnect the 'free' internet when we first got there--they felt people were downloading and they chose to end access (it boasts they provide free internet--though don't count on it). We checked out early and luckily checked our bill--they overcharged us daily use of the safe (we had not used as it was a daily charge) as well as several drinks which we did not purchase. I got the flu while there, so I brought my cup of tea back to the room. They do not remove dirty mugs, nor replace your bathroom glasses ever during your stay. I had not heard a vaccuum once--I don't think they own one. You get clean sheets on day one and keep those for your stay--thats ok, though the blankets on top are visibly dirty. Its cold, so you need to sleep with something other than sheets! I got the spare blanket from the wardrobe and it was even dirtier--yellow/orange polyester blanket with huge central dirty stain on the top. The top covers were heavy--absolutely heavy with filth. This place would not pass any health inspection and I am surprised its allowed to remain open as it is.glasses ever during your stay. I had not heard a vaccuum once--I don't think they own one.

Not much! It was in a nice neighborhood. The first room they showed us was tiny, the second was marginally bigger and overlooked a small park. The public areas downstairs were quite nice. The rooms were small and badly equipped - nothing like shown on the website. One day we returned late in the afternoon to find our room had not been made up!

The entire atmosphere was fantastic, I was proud to be the official last customer. ! MMM... That would be the fact that there was only one pillow per bed. 2 would have been more comfy.

The hotel was in a great location, it was easy to find. The room was clean but somewhat aged. That said, it is London and in London it seems as if the hotels are either very good or after that bad to medium. The bed was not great, but the back side of the hotel was very quiet. No wifi in the rooms which is not great. I have paid more for a worse place. No wifi. Bed was not great, pillows were worthless.

The location was a 5 minute walk to South Kensington tube station, which was a good location for shops, bars and restaurants. The room we booked was a triple room. The beds were tiny single beds and the room was in desperate need of a refurbishment, including the very old bathroom, however the room was clean.

Location Grubby dirty room although sheets were clean. Bath had lost half of its enamel, sink had a collection of second hand hair that nearly blocked the plug hole. The whole place needed a deep clean!

Location is fab but don't expect any home comforts. Breakfast was cereals and toast but it was ok. Very tired looking rooms, clean sheets but very worn looking covers. No kettle in any of the rooms, they said they havent put kettles in for years when I asked for one. Bed uncomfortable and pillows have a lot to be desired.

Well if you go into one of the most expensive parts of London your going to pay for the visit.except it before you book and your have a great time, every thing is going to cost you . the hotel is well situated and well run Some people moaning about the cost of everything in the area might be worth pointing out expensive areas are expensive for the very same reason if your on a tight budget further out might be for the customer walet

The hotel is comfortable, if overheated, I understand that it will close after 20 odd years in January 2012 to be converted to flats... Very little has been spent the last ten years to update and modernise a 1970s (or 80's) hotel... Bathrooms are poor and cleanliness is suspect! Location is good, staff are friendly and its perfetly fine for a short stay! Regards Nick
