Not much! It was in a nice neighborhood. The first room they showed us was tiny, the second was marginally bigger and overlooked a small park. The public areas downstairs were quite nice. The rooms were small and badly equipped - nothing like shown on the website. One day we returned late in the afternoon to find our room had not been made up!

The Location I found this Hotel to be of extremely poor quality, actual service was just about non existant. The room was cramped, smelly and poorly seviced, could not open window for ventilation, felt like smelly Oven. Bed was uncomfortable & bedding did not fit. Bath was stained. No kettle facilty in room. Decor was dismal & furniture dated & dowdy, all very uncomfortable. Kitchen staff had a bit of an attitude & breakfast, a disturbing disappointment. Lift took forever to arrive. No cooling available in room during really hot period. Deeply regretted having booked this venue, will never use it again. Ridiculously high price for the disappointing & poor product you receive.

This hotel is located in an excellent location, near a tube station and shops. The room was of modest size though old. Internet was provided in the lobby. The hotel needs extensive modernization and refurbishment. The bathroom was cracked and old. The television was so outdated that the remote control didn't even have a on/off button. The breakfast consisted of just toast or cereals. Any hot meals were an additional extra.

Breakfast staff were friendly. Staff polite enough but unhelpful, bathroom had mildew, 'Continental Breakfast' the worst I have ever experienced consisting of toast / cereals / prunes as the only fruit.

Don't stay here. It was filthy--I wore my shoes in my room and sacrificed a towel to wash our bathroom floor. There was a literally a teaspoon of crud/dirt in each corner of the bathroom floor--the carpet was scary. It smelled of urine. They supply rollaway cots--not beds. As a couple we got 3 cots--not a double bed. We asked and were told to keep checking back as she didn't see any available double type room. There is a hair dryer you have to hold the button to stay on. No other amenities (no kettle/coffee machine, no microwave, no iron, no bath sized towels, no secure windows, no nothing as expected in a typical hotel). Continental breakfast is tea, toast and cereal. Breakfast staff were very pleasant. Front desk staff were overly rude. The front desk staff chose to disconnect the 'free' internet when we first got there--they felt people were downloading and they chose to end access (it boasts they provide free internet--though don't count on it). We checked out early and luckily checked our bill--they overcharged us daily use of the safe (we had not used as it was a daily charge) as well as several drinks which we did not purchase. I got the flu while there, so I brought my cup of tea back to the room. They do not remove dirty mugs, nor replace your bathroom glasses ever during your stay. I had not heard a vaccuum once--I don't think they own one. You get clean sheets on day one and keep those for your stay--thats ok, though the blankets on top are visibly dirty. Its cold, so you need to sleep with something other than sheets! I got the spare blanket from the wardrobe and it was even dirtier--yellow/orange polyester blanket with huge central dirty stain on the top. The top covers were heavy--absolutely heavy with filth. This place would not pass any health inspection and I am surprised its allowed to remain open as it is.glasses ever during your stay. I had not heard a vaccuum once--I don't think they own one.

Local area Fortunately we stayed on a discount deal otherwise we would have been appalled to have paid full rates. The room was 2 star standard - shower hardly worked and the heating was so hot - whne I asked for the heating to be turned down I was told just to open a window. Food poor

The hotel was calm and elegant. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The bread used for toast was industrial grade - they could do better. Also no fresh fruit was provided.

The location was excellent; safe, close to underground & dining. Short underground ride to all points of interest. The rooms were not as described in website - definitely older and in need of refurbishing. WiFi only available in lobby area, but it was free.

Makes a change to not see the backs of buildings or fire escapes Very good location especially as I walk to St James's for my work. Floorboards above terribly noisy, & would be nice to be able to make a cup of tea in the room. Many reviews have said this!!

Excellent location The wireless internet, though advertised, was not accessible at all, apparently because the download limit had been reached. Our bathroom was a little shabby and very small. The child's bedroom had a window that opened fully onto a one storey drop whereas all others had external bars.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location as it's just a few minutes walk to Gloucester Road Tube Station. We nicknamed this hotel 'Faulty Towers'... According to Reception Staff the hotel is in the process of closing down (at least that what it sounded like (accent not clear)) this is the reason why the safe in the bedroom had been removed, and there was no kettle in the room either. The television was ancient with extremely poor picture and only five channels...digital/freeview hasn't reached this establishment yet!!! Everything in the bedroom and bathroom was 'shabby' and is in serious need of a makeover... Even the main/public areas require maintenance. The continental breakfast which was included in the price was very basic. There are lots of hotels in London and the only reason I stayed here was the availability on New Year's Eve but I wouldn't stay here again.

All Italian staff there were extremely polite and welcoming, others unfortunately were very rude. The rooms were not at all clean, not at all like in the images provided on the website. The breakfast was very very poor and definitely not very good value for money.

The entire atmosphere was fantastic, I was proud to be the official last customer. ! MMM... That would be the fact that there was only one pillow per bed. 2 would have been more comfy.
