    Friendly and accommodating staff

Would have liked a double bed but just 2 singles in my room.

comfy, clean, very nice welcome, good price, excellent breakfast, wifi good, excellent assistance by staff.

not a dealbreaker, but the towels sure could use some 'softener ' !! and also, just a minor point, but if you don't live in the UK, you are penalized becuase any 'foreign/non UK' bank card is charged a fee by hotel... this seems like it should be included in ther normal cost of doing buisness.. (?)

comfy bed, fair-sized shower, very peaceful with great hosts. Mini-fridge and fan in the room, both very much needed as it was a very hot and sunny weekend... and the windows could be opened!

I'll let you know when I think of something.

Genuine warm welcome, bags carried up stairs for me, on-site parking, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean room with lots of helpful extras like a mini fridge. Very good value for money, especially when compared with Travelodge for same night.

Nothing! except with only 12 hours I wasn't there long enough to enjoy it all!

Very clean and very comfortable. One nice touch was that there was a small fan in the room next to the bed which made sleeping a very comfortable bed even more enjoyable. The hosts were pleasant and helpful and even accommodated my very late arrival with no complaints and ease. The breakfast in the morning was top notch and compared to the many, many hotel/b&b breakfasts I have had, this was probably the best. I ordered soft poached eggs and they came absolutely prefect. The sign of a good cook.

    Nothing!

Personal welcome. So much better than staying in a soul-less hotel budget in a budget chain.

The house was bright and airy, easy to find and quite large. The bedroom was a reasonable size, bathroom a little small but the comfort makes up for it. Rooms nice and dark for sleeping. Placing breakfast preferences night before was good and breakfast served on time and all requests were actioned for breakfast so we were really happy about that. They are very accommodating and always happy to assist where necessary.

The shower in Room 3 was pretty powerless and took a while to shower. Advised owners Aileen & Brian who understood and will look into it. It is an old house so certain things do have to be taken into consideration. Not a complaint, just feedback.

Friendy welcome, unfazed by soaking wet motorcyclist dripping upon arrival and was offered choice of taking bike around rear of guest house to put in shed. Slept well in upstairs room with all facilities ( inc free Wifi) Excellent breakfast in morning and I have put Cranston house on my keeper list for places to stay.

    Absolutely nothing.

The house, location and owners were excellent. Our room was bright and fresh and we had a lovely bay window. The bathroom was excellent. We were on the first floor but the steps were wide and easy to manage with a suitcase. We liked this property so much we booked an extra night. The owners supplied us with a local map with all the food shops marked and the points of interest including the bluebell railway.

    We had to leave!

Maybe could have been more food for main breakfast ie only had 1 slice bacon.. But for £8 it was good value.

    Very clean

Messed up our booking and suggested they send us to a more expensive hotel at our expense! Eventually ended up sleeping there but 3 to a small room and one on a campbed and then still had the cheek to charge. I was there for my fathers funeral.

The owners were very friendly and made me most welcome. The guide in the room told me every facility available in the town in great detail. I have often seen guides made by the Hotels but never anything as detailed as this. Many of the eating locations menus were provided and guests encouraged to have the food delivered. I was only at this Hotel one night but would be very happy to retun. The location is very quiet and yet very close the town itself.

    The number of stairs.
