Size of Bed and darkness of room
Amazing, fantastic, really sumptuous decor. Friendly and very helpful staff. Just a crazily different environment in which to escape into fantasy world for a while. Room 4 with its beamed ceiling open to the roof, with pretty and unusual hanging lights was beautiful. Very comfy bed, huge copper bath and lashings of hot water. Really want to go back!
No facility in room to make hot drinks. No plug for hair straighteners. Would have been good to have had the option to switch on bright light for make-up/hair, also in the dim light it was a bit difficult to find dark items of clothing etc if they fell on the floor. Minor niggles really, though.
The decor which is amazing. The food is first class.
No permanent air conditioning and dim lighting.
The bar was OK, different and fun
Staff were miserable and the paying guests a definite inconvenience. The room was the worst I have ever stayed in, tiny, depressing and almost impossible to use. Whole room steamed up by shower, not enough lighting to see yourself in the mirror
Thai restaurant and superior room
Rude staff Not shown around Not made to feel welcome
Over rated, over priced so tacky and staff so unhelpful! Do not stay here!!!!!
aircon and size of our particular room bot as expected
The room was amazing, completely mad and over the top decor! The lighting, shower & bath in the bedroom were a lot of fun, we had a great time. The outside terrace. pool and restaurant were also great. In summary - over the top and fantastic.
Tricky to find, we drove past a few times...
The room we where given across the road to the hotel felt more like a knocking shop had no class would not stay again felt like a back street hotel
No sink plug, wet bathroom floor, dark and hot. Worst hotel stay this year
no draft beer in bar
All the main areas including the lobbies, bar, restaurants were beautifully decorated if you like slightly garish but blingy designs. I'm sorry to say that my wife and I loved it. The food at the Thai restaurant was very good.
We were given a room called a townhouse room which was a loft room in a listed building. I am 6 feet tall and had to duck all the time. Compared to the expensive and tasteful decor of the main areas the town house rooms looked like an afterthought. Some sections of wallpaper peeling off etc. That is not acceptable considering the room tariff.
Quirky decor, good location, good price on Booking.com, comfy bed,
No lift, top floor, small room. shower very small.
Bar and Restaurant great. waiters very good.
Room very small not value for money nasty air con unit in room and know tea and coffee facilities in the room wouldnt stay in that room again disappointing
Braekfast followed by leaving
Total waste of money, room too small swing a cat, no aircon so boiling hot and with the windows open couldn't sleep because of the noise from the pub next door, particularly pleasent was the sound of people throwing up at 2am. Our room didn't have an actual bathroom instead a cubby hole covered by a curtain had a tiny wet room, the cold tap was stuck on the sink and the whole area flooded when you had a shower so you couldn't go to the loo without getting your feet wet. I have never felt so let down, total rip off, just say no!
Stunning, a treasure hidden, staff brilliant ,wacky, opuitient, outside fantastic, food amazing,
Need a sign outside as couldn't find you,
Area Comfort "Different" and luxurious
Staff were a little a loof in reception
-Very well presented hotel. -Beautiful boutique/gothic design
-Townhouse rooms are very tiny, not recommended for anyone above 5ft tall -150 pounds deposit held -The main hotel is separated to the rooms, we had to cross the street -Very dark rooms -Overpriced
So expensive the food and the drinks £15 for a cocktail, loved the hotel but woodnt go again just because it's so over priced
Had a issue with other guests making a lot if noise at night and the walls are very thin so you can hear everything through them. Staff don't help at all
Totally ott gothic decor this hotel is for couples looking to spend some quality time together .
Room was very hot and as drapes are big and heavy you could have done with a net type curtain for privacy if you wanted window open and drapes open also
very individual excellent food
no signs on hotel - so not obvious to find
Rooms and location is unique
Cost is not good value. Room was tiny with too much furniture
Too dark in the rooms and rather put off by lack of a door on the loo! The price is also far more than the facilities provide. Staff were very helpful.
Great offer on Champagne, food excellent, upgraded to better room.
