The 2 nights I stayed i hardly got any sleep due to noisy guests above my room, floor boards were also very noisy so i could hear every movement they made!
I had my own bathroom, location wasn't too bad
Wifi didn't work. No hot water in my room. Halls and stairwells smelly. Breakfast awful.
Nothing really. Room itself wasn't dirty, but it was tiny and I could hear the man next door coughing all night with his telly blaring out.
Filthy breakfast tables, hair in bed, a lot of dust in the room, dated interior, broken toilet, not enough shower gel, noisy despite asking for a quiet room on booking
Small room, impossible to move. Dirty as hell... Staff answer questions but no smile manners etc... everything is dirty and/or not working.. Especially disturbing when you try to eat your breakfast... At least the small Chinese woman in the kitchen was nice and make super quick breakfast
Location wasn't the worst... 10-12 walk from Reading West or 10-15 from Reading
Breakfast was advertised as being free when I booked online, when in fact I had to pay an extra £4 on arrival. Very mediocre breakfast, quality of ingredients was very poor. Bathroom very tired looking with undecorated and broken areas.
Mold in bathroom, above the desk
Close to the centre, free parking
I woke up in morning and had itchy bug bite marks on leg, thigh face.still marks but itch gone a week later.no idea what are.not nice! Room was bit dusty and didn't use towel their as dusty.the smell of Bleach in sink plug hole not nice and in morning was used in bathrooms by cleaner.why bleach is used when it so toxic is questionable anyway and not nice to wake up to.shame as rest of place great.
Single rooom with sink lovely and cosy and warm.safe lock door inside and out.nice staff.was happy there.loved it
Cleanliness was only okay. Our room was very small and the beds and pillows were very soft. Only toiletries available were wrapped soap. Breakfast was reheated food.
Very good WiFi signal. Had free parking. Very close to centre of Reading. Cheap place.
DO NOT STAY HERE. SERVICE IS AWFUL. NOT CLEAN AT ALL. VERY UNCONFORTABLE BEDS. HOPELESS SHOWER. I WOULD RATE IT AS 1 STAR IF THAT
The room was tiny, but sufficient for a solo traveller for one night
This comfortable hotel is exactly on the route for the Reading half marathon and so was ideally placed for supporters to cheer on the runners. It had all the basics and was very clean
The room was extremely hot! And noise from room above
Very good location, central to town with free parking.
Room was damp and cold. There was mold in the shower, door lock to the room wasn't secure.
Tea in the room. Bathroom was on-suite
creeking floorboards Keep you awake. Uncomfortable bed, lumpy and springy matress.
hair eerywher. room disnot look like pic on website. Shower cubicle was onld and disgusting.
The place could do with a major refurbish
nosey, smelly uncomfortable room, I've stayed at a lot of budget hotels in bed so I've experienced what I've paid for but this is down there with them, not what I expected for the cost and given its Reading not London.
The radiator in the bedroom was too close to the bed and struggled with sleeping
Breakfast was good
The place smelt bad on entrance, the decor was dated and shabby, the bathroom was dirty and in need of repair, the walls had dirty stains up them in the bedroom, curtains didn't close properly and the sheets were dirty
Location is about all it has going for it! Close to town
the odour rather stale throughout the hotel - cooking/carpets The breakfast service was brusk and unsmiling and used hand signals rather than words.
Quick friendly service at reception
The room was cozy.
I didn't like being kept up all nightly the inconsiderate guests in the room above. You can hear every creak. The beds are lumpy, the man on reception seemed put out that I checked in, the shower was scalding hot or freezing cold. If you have to stay here, take an inflatable camp bed and some ear plugs.
Absolutely nothing to like about this place. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels as I work away, and this is by far the worst. I should have slept in the van.
Poor quality hotel - Not clean, Breakfast poor, Walls like paper
