Beautifully furnished, spotless, spacious, luxurious bedroom. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Good food. Convenient car parking.
The twin room we stayed in was lovely. The 1st place I've stayed where the only toiletries you need are your toothbrush and paste. They really did think of everything. A mini vanity kit, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion as well as the obligatory mini soap bar. A really good quality hair dryer in the dressing table draw & that was a real dressing table with mirror, matching bed side tables, chest of draws in the room, with a wardrobe & addition shelving & somewhere to leave your muddy boots in the entrance hall. Although it was mid Nov when we stayed I also loved the fact that each room had a table & chairs just outside so if the weather was good you could sit out. As I said we stayed mid Nov but the room was always lovely and warm. The attention to detail was great. It's also worth mentioning that although this is a B&B, it is a local pub that does lunches and evening meals & the food is really good, with generous portions.
The only fault I could say is there wasn't a full length mirror in the room, not even on the inside of the wardrobe door.
Cleanliness. Helpful and courteous staff. Good food.
Friendly, warm, nicely laid out rooms with ample space. good breakfast and ample evening meal.
Good breakfast , clean accomadation would recommend
No full length mirrorin the bedroom
We booked a twin room and got a Scottish themed room which was really nicely done - not too twee but really clean and comfortable. Great location for visiting castle Howard.
A warm welcome and ease of settling in. The cleanliness was very good. All food and beers were locally sourced. A good location for Castle Howard, York and the North Yorkshire Moors.
Lack of hot water for morning shower.
Breakfast was full of choice for cereals followed by a full English breakfast with plenty of toast absolutely marvellous
Room was a good size Room was clean
The very rude manager who actually made me feel sad I was giving him my money The cold shower The atmosphere on a whole of the venue This place is renowned in the area it turns out as having a bad reputation Don't waste your money

Everything about this hotel is brilliant, would recommend this hotel to anyone!! Proberly not a hotel for the young,it's a pub with a nice sedate feel, the music is on but it is not loud just right.food good, breakfast lovely, staff very helpful, had a great two days there, rooms very clean and tea&coffee making facilities, great shower too. Thanks for a brilliant stay.
Nothing it's a great place end of.

The room, the pub, the food, the beer & wine, the people, Malton, Castle Howard, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Whitby.
They must sort out the WiFi!
The older building is rather impersonal internally While emailing I would like to emphasise that web sites don't make the distinction between "free-standing shower" and "bath with shower fitment". Important to Oldsters with replacement joints who cannot clamber into a bath in order to take a shower.
The coach Inn was an excellent place to stay -very clean, comfortable and staff really helpful. We had dinner the food was well cooked and good value for money -great Breakfast We go to Malton quite often so have found something Brilliant to stay overnight will book again
Everyone was friendly and the food selection was good. Quality of the food was also good. The room we had was in a courtyard and was excellent, clean, very comfortable and quiet. Short drive to Castle Howard and about 15 mins drive to the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Nothing, in my opinion was all good.

Nothing really wifi was a bit patchy at times but with 4 to choose it wasn't a problem
An amazing mini break to the cress well arms and have already rebooked for next year. Service first class. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Soooo beautifully decorated and clean too, and I have OCD so I am hard to please. Room out of this world. Only slight niggle was noise from the main pub between 9 and 11. Main room was fine but could hear voices in kids bedroom. Wasn't a problem for us as ours were sound asleep at 7 but may be for some.

Price was a little high for a 'friday' night stay. Check out could've been later.
Lovely traditional pub, rooms were decorated nicely - comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was nice, good choice of cereal, juices or full English breakfast. presentation of the breakfast was lovely.
We liked the fact that nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was really good especially the breakfast and prices were very reasonable.
The staff were very obliging
