Good,
Score from 304 reviews
“ Not a lot. The room was nowhere like the picture. The mattress on the bed was awful. The breakfast was not impressive and the sausages were as bad as any in the industry. Still trying to get something returned that was left at the hotel. ”

recently refurbished room. quiet part of hotel. lovely staff. good value for money strong smell of paint. window needs safety catch as a child could easily stand on a chair and fall out (2nd floor). no grab handles in bathroom above or on bath. no bin in bedroom for used teagabgs etc so dripping on carpet.

Very central On Sunday evening we had a meal in the hotel restaurent it was not edibable. It was roast beef. The regular menu advertised was not available. This was very poor advertising. The only part of the meal i ate was the starter.. I had to go to the bar and buy crisps. I would not eat in the restaurent again.

Hotel has good parking areas. Reception & in-house staff were very pleasant & attentive. Bedroom austere but cleaned and tidied very well No chair in bedroom, just a stool. Difficulty in managing food on room service tray.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Excellent breakfast and good dinner availability. Chef was going out of his way to cater to requirements - he even wrote down the recipe for a desert one of the customers liked. Good sized and spotless room, which was quiet at the end of the corridor facing the courtyard as requested. Walls are a bit thin so that you can hear everything from your neighbours, but otherwise no problem.

Friends 40th party so 20+ attended the comedy night Being harrassed by a drunk male who was not ejected by members of staff. Room above entrance 3am groups leaving, very loud shouting, cars doors banging. 5:30 am drunk male fighting and shouting in corridor, group shouting, arguing, banging on doors, threats to call police etc etc I raised these issues with the front desk, who apologised, took my telephone number and said the duty manager would call me. I have still not had a call, its now several days later. Customer Service is really poor, no-one dealt effectively with the drunken man. This was the worst night my wife and I have ever spent in a hotel.

the wedding we attended was great we have left feedback in the room, wedding planner was professional and did her job excellent. room a bit jaded, small compared to premier inns value for money we booked on line, thought we booked directly with hotel. was charged £55 when we booked in which we thought was changed as we were part of wedding people - originally quoted online £72 but then were told the £55 was just for the room and no breakfast included and that if we had booked directly with the hotel we would have got breakfast. Didnt know that.

Excellent family room that can accommodate 2 x adults and 3 x children. Children happy with their bunk beds and TV's at the end of each bunk The shower wasn't particularly powerful or hot. On a very cold weekend in the uk, the rooms were not particularly warm (even with the additional electric wall heater on).

Front office staff very helpful and friendly Saturday:Not enough bar staff on in evening to cope with a wedding party who had taken over the restaurant bar meaning nowhere comfortable to relax pre-dinner.Sunday: Disarray in the dining room. Being overlooked, bumped into and stared-at whilst trying to eat breakfast... by queues allowed to form, of two coach loads of elderly people (I believe unexpected due to weather) being allowed to sweep into breakfast like some tsunami of polyester! No sense of order and no sugar or condiments on table. The latter resulted in almost being lynched when I went to get some as I was thought to be queue jumping!!!
