We loved the location...it's really a hop and a skip away from the St. Pancras train station and near restaurants and the metro. The beds are really comfortable and the showers have good pressure. However, it must be one of the worst hotels we stayed in for the price...it's the quality of a small hostel...but we've stayed in more comfortable hostels.
It was a small cramped hotel with no charm at all. Our first room was bigger but had not been renovated for a long time. But we doubt even when it was new that it was very comfortable. Our second room was renovated but even smaller if it was possible. I'm really not sure how they managed to get all the furniture in. They used the cheapest materials for everything. The breakfast was full of industrial products; nothing was fresh.
The location for the trains.
No overhead lights over the beds. The table between the beds was fallen off the wall. Continental breakfast very bad for what they charged. More good places nearby for better services & less expensive.
location to eurostar
Absolutely friendly and helpful staff members. Very communicative location- 2 min walk from the King's Cross Tube station. Good, quiet room with very comfortable bed:)Definitely will choose it again!
It's more of a recommendation than a dislike - there is more you can want from a breakfast;)
Liked the location and the overall check in was fine. Room was small which was to be expected and bed was relatively comfortable.
There was a truly hideous view of what looked like the kitchen yard and the whole room smelt of damp which wasn't nice
This was my 3rd stay and is even better since the upgrade. It is clean and comfortable and very convenient for St Pancras. Although a single I had a very pleasant double room with flat screen t.v and tea and coffee making tray, It was perhaps a bit compact for two people but fine for a short stay.
The breakfast could benefit from an upgrade - it is very basic and not very high quality
the hotel was close to several subway lines and buses and it's on a main road. simple eateries and convenience stores nearby. Has a good breakfast, comfortable beds, nice and helpful staff, overall excellent value for money
living out of suitcases: no storage space for clothes, etc. also very cramped sink and no shelves for toiletries.
location and staff service
size of room and bathroom standard
room quite comfortable
no English breakfast
the location is ideal; the rooms are clean and tidy; staff are helpful;
a bit noisy outside one night, but that was not the hotel's fault!
Very good location. Helpful staff. Good value for money. Room comfort is fine, although rooms are very small.
Very comfortable place. Excellent stuff, kind and helpful. I travelled with a baby and they were always ready to help even in the middle of the night.
Wifi doesn't work all the time. Still, I think it's a great place to stay.
Room poor. sink cracked, toilet difficult to flush. No bedside lamp. No blind on window, had to pull curtains in daylight as window faced residential accommodation. Looked grubby
Location Hot shower Reception staff
House keeping staff constantly smoking outside of room Room was more like a bunker than a room No useable lounge area Stairs Cigarette buts in the garden outside room price
Friendly and good location
Bathroom was very small and water pressure poor. No lift.
spacious room with plenty of shelves and storage places
unfortunately we had what appeared to be a herd of nocturnal gymnastic elephants staying upstairs, but the staff responded immediately in requesting a quieter night time environment...
Location: opposite stations, entrance just 50 meters away.
Very basic room, no desk or bedlamps, or shelf in bathroom, clearly in need of upgrade. Breakfast also basic, and breakfastroom to small.
Close proximity to international and metro stations.
Over the five days only one third of the showers were near hot, one third luke warm and the other third cold. This should be easily rectified - it reflects badly on this premises.
Location--right next to King's Cross. Double room had a comfy bed.
Hotel decor old fashioned. Had to leave room key with reception. Bathroom had a fan that would sense movement and go off every time for 15 minutes. Bathroom drainage had a problem as the bathroom smelled of the sewer and the smell wouldn't go away.
Location excellent for early morning Eurostar connection. We were too early for breakfast and the hotel staff helpfully gave us some sandwiches and juice instead for our trip.
Room very small but fine for a one night stopover
The convenience of the hotel's location so near the metro and train station at King's Cros and Eurostar is very appealing. The breakfast included more than I expected it would. The room had a tea pot for heating water and tea/coffee/cookie. Very nice. The staff was most accommodating and answered many questions about finding local places including bus or tube lines.
The wifi is slow. The rooms are not sound proofed and we could easily hear the door across the hall being opened and locked or unlocked. Instead of card keys this hotel uses traditional keys and it is noisy to enter or leave a room. The hotel seems rather conservative (perhaps "skimpy") on towels. Only 1 per person per day and no foot mat for the shower.
Location right next to Kings Cross station allows direct access from Heathrow Airport without costly taxis. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Particular kudos to Anna at the front desk, but they were all lovely.
No elevators, many very steep stairs.
Staff very friendly, rooms very clean bedding spotless
Rather good location, easy to get from Luton Airport, a lot of places to eat, supermarket is very close. One minute walk from Tube station. Nice staff. Clean. Good breakfast.very good value for the money I have paid
