Very small rooms, but enough for a couple of days.
Very friendly and very convient for St Pancras. Rooms of a good standard.
Cold hear the underground trains- probably because we were on the lowest level.
Very convenient and quiet setting. Breakfast was OKish. I slept well ... but that was probably because of all the going up and down stairs to get to the right room in the right half of the hotel! (See first para in what I didn't like)
Two unconnected staircases - going to the top floor to find I'd used the wrong staircase! Very tiring for someone not so young. Also, I was given a number for internet access and when I keyed it in it didn't work. No phone in the room and too far to go down the stairs and up again made it a very frustrating experience Thirdly, no Earl Grey tea available for breakfast. Fourthly, I had to ask another guest to help me down from the top floor with my luggage when I was leaving.
Location, location, location! Get off the plane at Heathrow, ride on the Piccadilly Line tube for 45 minutes, get off at Kings Cross, walk across Euston Road and 5 minutes later you're at the Crestfield! No expensive taxis, no waiting in rush hour traffic.
There are no lifts/elevators between the many different floors of the hotel. I must walk with a cane, so I have some difficulty going up and down steep stairs. The very kind staff did everything they possibly could to help me.
Close St Pancras Station. Very helpful staff, very clean. Breakfast included. Handy for a couple of nights.
Bathroom very small, luckily I am very slim.
Perfect location. Could not be better for such price. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed, good bathroom, clean and nice room. Iron (which is very important) and safe-box at the reception. Everything you need.
There was no adapter from UK plug to European. Unfortunately, a little dog at the reception could be a problem for those who has an allergy.
the bed is comfortable
the room and bathroom is too tiny
the hotel is situated in the city centre. The room was nice and clean
The staff at the receiption was not friendly enough. I have got impression that they wanted me not to ask any questions at all. The food for breakfast could have been more variable for the price paid.
Very close to St Pancras - ideal for the early train In a relatively quiet (for London) side street Had everything I needed for a short overnight stay (tea-making, hairdrier, late/early check-in/out)
Decor very tired Small room & strange bathroom layout Breakfast not available before 7am
Friendly efficient service
It's a minor detail, but it was slightly frustrating that the automatic lighting on the top floor took a while to come on as it's needed to negotiate the steps in the hallway.
The hotel was within 5 mins walk of St Pancras International Station for Eurostar services and King's Cross Station. The bedding was clean, white and crisp without stains. Breakfast was good with food replenished regularly and the tables cleared quickly as each became vacant. The staff seemed fairly friendly and helpful. After checking out your luggage could be left at the hotel for a few hours.
The small room was ok for an overnight stop but we would not want to spend any longer. The room we had was tucked away at the back of the hotel next to the laundry room and the outdoor stairs up to street level, which were used by staff to put out rubbish etc. The room looked as if it had been partitioned off from a larger area to create another bedroom, and, therefore, additional income. Decoration was poor.
Loved the easy access to the rail stations and all city transit -- tube and buses. Great staff and good breakfast.
Proximity to St Pancras station, Waitrose supermarket, and local restaurants etc. Breakfast was included and was substantial. Reasonable value for money given the Central London location.
Nothing really to not like. The room was typically very 'cosy' and furnishings tired. Was O.k for one night before catching the Eurostar but we wouldn't want to stay for a more extended period. The ratings we have given are intended to reflect that this is a relatively budget hotel in a major city.
only 1 minute away from kings cross station. staff was great! even though we asked for to much, they were always happy to help.
breakfast was not really good rooms were comfortable, but they were small
We loved the location...it's really a hop and a skip away from the St. Pancras train station and near restaurants and the metro. The beds are really comfortable and the showers have good pressure. However, it must be one of the worst hotels we stayed in for the price...it's the quality of a small hostel...but we've stayed in more comfortable hostels.
It was a small cramped hotel with no charm at all. Our first room was bigger but had not been renovated for a long time. But we doubt even when it was new that it was very comfortable. Our second room was renovated but even smaller if it was possible. I'm really not sure how they managed to get all the furniture in. They used the cheapest materials for everything. The breakfast was full of industrial products; nothing was fresh.
The location for the trains.
No overhead lights over the beds. The table between the beds was fallen off the wall. Continental breakfast very bad for what they charged. More good places nearby for better services & less expensive.
location to eurostar
Absolutely friendly and helpful staff members. Very communicative location- 2 min walk from the King's Cross Tube station. Good, quiet room with very comfortable bed:)Definitely will choose it again!
It's more of a recommendation than a dislike - there is more you can want from a breakfast;)
The shower no good, water pressure too lower
Liked the location and the overall check in was fine. Room was small which was to be expected and bed was relatively comfortable.
There was a truly hideous view of what looked like the kitchen yard and the whole room smelt of damp which wasn't nice
This was my 3rd stay and is even better since the upgrade. It is clean and comfortable and very convenient for St Pancras. Although a single I had a very pleasant double room with flat screen t.v and tea and coffee making tray, It was perhaps a bit compact for two people but fine for a short stay.
The breakfast could benefit from an upgrade - it is very basic and not very high quality
the hotel was close to several subway lines and buses and it's on a main road. simple eateries and convenience stores nearby. Has a good breakfast, comfortable beds, nice and helpful staff, overall excellent value for money
living out of suitcases: no storage space for clothes, etc. also very cramped sink and no shelves for toiletries.
location and staff service
size of room and bathroom standard
room quite comfortable
no English breakfast
the location is ideal; the rooms are clean and tidy; staff are helpful;
a bit noisy outside one night, but that was not the hotel's fault!
