I chose to stay at Crewe Hall as it was the location of a wedding I had been invited to. I booked two rooms for myself and my wife and my son and his wife, we all felt the hotel was a lovely wedding venue, the service and staff were good and proffessional and the food including the wedding breakfast and the morning breakfast were excellent. Although we enjoyed our stay we do feel drinks at the bar were very over priced.

Comfortable rooms, Dinner was very "spartan" - vegetarian options were poor in quantity and quality as well as being very pricey.

Very friendly staff , very hepfull, nice modern rooms , nice meal at the brasserie. Nice surroundings. The modern extension where we where looks likes a modern factory, it is a big site , the brasserie meal was expensive . We had to wait for breakfast, very noisy restaurant, The brasserie was full. Also even by booking 10 days in advance, we could not get a massage. This place is a strange setup.

The hotel staff were excellent very helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the Brasserie and the food was excellent for both adults and kids. Breakfast was good although the queue to be seated was not ideal. The bathroom did not appear to be that clean. Hotel facilities are restricted with children not allowed to swim after 5pm at the weekends, which was very disappointing especially as we were already changed and about to enter the pool and were not informed by the receptionist at the gym.

Helpful staff who were able to deal with our needs to a high standard, the room upgrade was welcome and appreciated. In the information it did not differentiate between room styles, the 'new' wing was ultra modern and the house was character, we wanted character and the spa, the distance between the two was considerable and we were dissapointed to have to eat in the Brasserie rather than in the Hall, again this was not made clear. Put 'pins' on Hall suites or write number of room on newspaper to prevent theft! Ask what the guest would like toi get from the visit before allocation of rooms? this may assist in the guest getting what they want at the outset and avoid changes to roomes etc after booikng in? The Brasserie food was excellent but overprieced for the volume of food that was served. Customers should be advised that the room price is changed on a daily basis to help understand the bill. Small things but the service is always 'the sum of its parts'.

The hotel was generally good, as expected, however please read comment below to explain low mark regarding cost. I was very shocked on further inspection of the bill to see that my double cognac from the brasserie bar cost a wapping £25!!! Is this the correct price? Please respond.

Crewe hall itself has the wow factor as soon as it reveals itself. The building is beautiful and the staff at the reception are wonderful. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfy. We got free use of the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi which was very well kept clean and tidy. The ladies in the spa are fantastic and welcoming I enjoyed every second of my experience with them. The breakfast was fantastic and offers a wide variety and choice. Unfortunately the only let down for me was the brasserie resturant. The presentation of the food was fantastic and looked so appealing but the taste of the food was a let down and very bland. You can tell they use very fresh produce but it was such a shame the food held no flavour.

Crewe Hall is an amazing building, as we discovered on our personal tour conducted by young Jaye (?) the porter. He was utterly delightful. Our room was in the modern wing, very comfortable and appealingly decorated. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was generous. The front desk staff over several shifts were all young, sunny, enthusiastic and incredibly helpful. Incredible pool too. The hotel was a great place to spend a couple of nights on our way to Scotland.

Crewe hall is an amazing building, really beautiful. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Will stay at the hotel again. The only problem was the young girl who gave me my massage which I booked while staying at Crewe hall, had to stop her half way through as she never had a clue how to massage which was an awful shame and was offered a refund so they were very fair. On the other hand my mother also had the same treatment in the spa and her massage was very good, given by another girl. Will not use the spa if I return but will recommend the hotel. Was traveling with my mother and required twin beds, unfortunately we were unable to upgrade as the rooms in the main building ie the suites etc were double beds only so we had to stay in a standard room only, which were nice but would of upgraded to have been able to enjoy the main building and to have the views of the garden and grounds.

We were very happy to get the chance to stay there after visiting it a few months ago when a relative stayed there. Being originally Cheshire people, I have known of the Hall all my life but never before been inside. It does not disappoint! That apart, the staff were remarkably pleasant, the food excellent and the room, although not in the old part, which is what we would have chosen, were excellent and had the advantage of easy, step-free access from the car. Important to my wife who is somewhat disabled. The price offered was very good. The Dining Room was a disappointment, in that it was terribly noisy! Hard surfaces everywhere, (not even table cloths!) made for very bad acoustics. The food was good, the service good but we could't talk or even hear what the waiters had to say.

The Hall itself is brillient a really beautiful place. We went to a wedding there and it is a fabulous venue for a wedding. The old part of the building has beautiful bedrooms which we visited with relatives who were lucky enough to get one, very spacious and luxurious. Breakfast was buffet style with a good choice. Make sure you request a bedroom in the original part of the Hall. Ours was in the modern block and although large, not a patch on the older bedrooms. Nit picking now but the headboard on the bed was very dusty but the rest of the room was clean. No biscuits nor bottled water in room which we are used to having in a four star hotel.

It was good value. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Didn't effect our enjoyment but I think that the new part of the hotel should be incorporated better with the Old Hall. It is like a seperate annexe and if your room is in the new part it is possible to by- pass the Old Hall completely apart from check in. The jacuzzi was too small and the health club was dominated by women (of a certain size) who just seemed to sit on the sun loungers or hog (no pun intended) the jacuzzi!

Wonderful Sunday night deal - excellent value for money - have recommended it to friends and family. Staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly. Will definately stay again and will try others. The Brasserie seemed very dull to have a drink in comparison to the Ranulph Room where we enjoyed Sunday Lunch. We would prefer to enjoy a drink at a more comfortable lounge
