Crieff Hydro Hotel  

All staff we very accommodating. We were on a break with our Son,Daughter in Law and 10 month old Granddaughter. All of the facilities were first class and very family friendly. In the restaurants we never had any problems getting the correct type of food for the little one and access to high chairs etc was always given priority by the staff when we booked our meal reservations. At breakfast time here again - despite being under a lot of pressure on the Sunday - the staff were very attentive and understanding towards our needs.We spent some time in the leisure pool and other facilities and once more found the staff to be excellent... We shall certainly be booking again for next year...

The best thing about the hotel was the kids club and the activities in and around the hotel for the children (adventure play park, putting, garden tennis). It is most definitely a family hotel and not for a romantic break! The swimming pool - again fantastic for kids but extremely busy at all times during the day with kids in the spa and sauna too! Food is good enough quality.

Negatives - pool was dirty, I heard a few people comment on this - could feel grime and clumps of dirt on pool floor but again it was packed with kids do couldn't be helped. Hotel was very busy during our stay (march) and was very understaffed. Our wait for dinner was 1 hr 20 mins between starter and main course, with staff buzzing about like crazy. Queue for breakfast 15 minute wait with staff running about clearing tables.

I thought the facilities were excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.The food was tasty and there was a great variety of choice.I enjoyed the stay so much I have already booked a repeat visit in June.I booked the first visit because I was looking for a break for a night to chill out but also one that was not too expensive.I thought my visit was excellent value for money.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Very attentive, well trained and customer focused staff. Very family oriientated - kids welcomed. Fantastic surroundings and a fantastic setting. Lots of avtivities on site.

The family pool is small and needs updating. When we were there it had been allowed to become far too busy to enjoy and was not very clean - bottom of pool was gritty and changing areas not especially clean. There is a good slelection of food outlets during the day, but at night options are limited to the two restaraunts, There is an excellent children's menu, but little for older children / young teens who don't want to eat 'kids food' but not quite ready for gourmet dishes. A middle option bar meal / italian style bistro would have filled the gap perfectly.

We loved everything about Crieff Hydro. Excellent facilities, and the service was outstanding. Staff were warm and friendly who helped to make the stay so relaxing. Food was scrumptious! Would highly recommend to everyone!

Excellent all round, always a pleasure to stay there, highly recommended!

Edwardian grandieur with modern facilities coupled with the widest range of on and off site activities situated in one of the most beautiful locations in Europe.

Unfortunately we coincided our stay with what must have been a post Christams family special rate - 'wall to wall weans!' Prams and push chairs a-go-go. Check before you book.

The facilities and activities were fabulous, staff friendly and helpfull and families well catered for

I was disappointed with the room, it hadn't been dusted in a while and the sheets on the beds were ripped. I was disappointed that the soft play only opened in the afternoo and at the same time as the kids hour in the pool. An hour or so in the morning would have been good.
