Crieff Hydro has been putting on a warm welcome since 1868. Back then, hundreds of Victorians flocked here to rejuvenate in the therapeutic spring waters. Today, we’re far more geared up towards luxury, relaxation and fun than the Victorians were. However, the hotel’s architecture and 900-acre estate are as grand as ever.

Great facilities and very proffesional staff
Hotel trying to be kid friendly but kids menu overly complex for young kids and fussy children and no place to get savoury supper snacks. Game zone closed around eight so older kids bored. Pool and changing area a bit basic.
meal in the miekle restaurant very poor! Had to pay extra £13.95 on top of £21.00 for a very salty steak!!!! Breakfast well I have had better breakfast at premier inn very poor for 4* more 1*
The hotel & staff
Loads to do, staff were amazing. Food top rate.
Couldn't get WiFi to work. Probably a good thing.
In general we enjoyed our stay however we found the hotel too busy as we choose the school holidays.
- Bathroom was lovely, bath and shower very comforting. - Size of room. - Facilities and dining options. - Surrounding area.
- Knowledge of staff misleading and erroneous. - King size bed in fact two doubles pushed together. - Meikle restaurant staff made several errors when serving and presenting bill. Charged for coffee we thought was complimentary (not advised charge applied) and food overcooked.
Facilities were lovely, food brilliant and room was comfortable and well serviced
Everything, there is so much to do. The food is fantastic and the staff couldn't do enough to help.
Leisure activities were great very relaxed atmosphere
Bar prices a bit expensive
The location and the building were lovely. The food was good, as was the service.
it was not a bad experience, but we would have preferred a bath, not just a shower. There were a lot of children noisily running passed our bedroom a lot.
The choice of restaurants The location was peaceful Great for families.
I did not like the fact you had to pay for the use of the Victorian Spa. The main pool was full of children and their parents/carers and it was impractical to use it for a swim so I paid to use they alternative pool.
Facilities, choice of dining (and good quality of food) and plenty to do for young children.
Errors on final bill at check-out.
The reception didn't tell us enough about where you went for breakfast or anything like that or where the leisure facilities Un helpful.
The victorian spa and scenery. Restaurant and food were good.
Bed was horrendous you could tell it was two beds put together as matress on one side dipped down, there was a hair in the bath, there was a door connecting to the room nextdoor which you could here everything. Cobwebs on ceiling
Fantastic facilities for all ages, lots to do even though the weather was awful.
The hotel was very cold in all parts of it, it was cold outside but very cold even in the restaurant and bar areas
The food was excellent
Too crowded on the Saturday
I really loved the setting, the choice of things to do was amazing & I'd love to come back. The staff were so helpful & really friendly.
The jacuzzi was closed early & it spolit out experience of the Victorian Spa
In General very good.
We were not informed that our room would not be in the main building of the hotel. This was really inconvenient for obvious reasons
Friendly and accommodating for visiting with a baby.
Very busy at breakfast. A few areas where had to lift pram up steps.
Crieff Hydro exceeded our expectations. Our girls had a great time. The facilities were fantastic and the staff were all very helpful. We will most certainly be back.
Victorian spa / rooms / brasserie
Comfortable room, lovely staff
Evening entertainment in lounge poor for such a large hotel. Lots geared towards families but not so much for couples on their own. Also, prior to visit guests should be advised to book for spa as this is the second time i have come and tried to book on day of arrival and not been able to get in during my stay so very disappointed
Plenty to do
There was insufficient hot water on our second night and we were unable to shower. Contacted staff and basically a supply & demand issue!!
