Comfy bed and excellent shower. Breakfast was poor - cheap sausages, bacon etc. and instant coffee.

Nothing in particular. We will not stay there again. Very poor breakfast, cold toast, no jam or marmalade, no personal service, an equestrian centre not a hotel.

The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Great to get a personal touch that you just don't in large hotels. Breakfast was good. Wish we had, had the opportunity to have an evening meal as the menu looked good. Travelled with our three month old baby and had a lovely break would go there again.

Although we asked for a family room we didn't get one and my husband slept on the floor! The bathroom floor was filthy, under the overhang of the vanity unit obviously had not been swept for a very long time let alone washed. The one poor lad serving as waiter et al was very attentive and helpful but he shouldn't have been alone in his task!

My own front door. Evening meal was excellent but breakfast was a bit poor - why not offer proper hand-sliced toast?

Rooms were basic, TV.s not set up. Bathrooms basic with old lino on floor. No phone in room to contact reception. Doors to hotel areas including breakfast were locked until staff turned up. Noisy Peacocks from around 3am. Not ideal for business clients, but fair for backpackers and travellers with no time restrictions or need for facilities.

I love the surroundings, it was a beautiful peaceful farm. Would be lovely to visit again in the summer so could sit outside with a drink and walk around the property. The staff were very helpful but not in your face. There even gave us a lift to the wedding we was attending. Only downside was that it was a bit far out from anything but that's not a problem if u can drive

Breakfast was fab and the roaring fire in the bar was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Decor was dated and room cold at first. Also the sound of the shower/toilet in the room next door was v loud, fine for one night but any longer and that would have been really annoying!

Not much at all. The breakfast was acceptable. When we were taken to our rooms they were not made up and the manager had to search for rooms that we could use use. There was no other staff around. We waited 40 minutes for a sandwich on our arrival. The hotel was like the Marie Celeste - no other guests and no staff. When we arrived back from our evening out, having been told that the bar would be open, it was all locked up. In fact it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The furnishings are all very out-dated and tired and the place needs a good clean up. Not a good advert for booking.com
