Score from 686 reviews Good
cheap good wifi signal good location (for Queens Rd, Victoria Park)
No ensuite toilet (though had a sink/shower in the room) Very dated decor Plumbing/finish pretty ropey
I was staying there to compete in the Leicester Marathon and allowed to have a shower after the run even though I had already checked out. Also, an extra early breakfast catered for the runners.
The price and location, fast wifi
Very loud heating/plumbing, still audible through earplugs. The water in shared toilets and sink in room not safe to drink. Noise from other guests. Very thin duvet. Strange light/alarm clock fixture immediately above bed, making it impossible to sit up. Dirty towel under bed. Spartan decor to say the least.
Games Room facility ... Extended Stay after Check-out ... Check-out time was OK ... Access to Hotel with room key plus demonstration ... A few minor damages which will be seen to hopefully ...
Wrong impression by being labelled as a hotel with no Restaurant facilities for both guests and the public ... The Shower took too long to warm up - thereby 1 hour was not long enough for breakfast ...
Double room was big, en suite. Very good for the (very low) price. Car parking available.
Single rooms tiny, shared toilet
The outside of the building looks really good and some parking
Room was cold despite having radiator on full blast, had neighbors Having a room Party blasting Music nothing was done about this for hours, smelt of sweat in corridors, room reminded me of a bad version of my uni dormtory room
Mohit and his brother were so helpful. We turned up at least 2 hours later than we had hoped and were still met with even though we had obviously woken him up. It was after midnight but he still was good enough to produce a bottle of red wine and two glasses for us to take to our room. The room was clean, the bed linen clean and breakfast was more than acceptable for what we had paid.
My brothers room had no toilet or shower....my friends room had black mould growing on the ceiling
Everything...the staffs are very helpful and easy to interact with.
Nothing I can remember.
The staff are just incredible! Very nice and gentle. They helped me a lot with different things.
The cleanliness was a bit poor. And the facilities also. If you are looking for a 2-3 days hotel just while you're looking something in Leicester it could be a good option. For leisure I'm not sure... I totally recommend to the Hotel Staff to improve their facilities at their personal level!
The staff were helpful. The linen - sheets were nice and the bath towels a good size.
The stair carpet was thread bare on the edges and dirty looking. Paintwork was chipped and the bedroom needed a new coat of paint as it looked dirty. No tv in the room. One tiny window in room had a wardrobe pushed against it - so it was claustrophobic. No carpet in bedroom. No hair dryer in the room. Shower was very small. Breakfast - No choice of fruit and no mushrooms.
Small breakfast room. No table lamp in room .
i arrived too a warm welcome with everything explained to me about WiFi and brekki..the staff are friendly and helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there!! Thank you
Friendly staff good location
Dirty: Fungi and mildew in bathroom. Stained cushions. Dusty. Filthy toilet bowl. beat up: holes in furniture, dingy mismatching furniture, thin walls. Very cold. toiletries were offered in booking description, but this was just a bar of soap.
Staff were very polite and approachable.
Desperately needs upgraded. We were awakened by rumbling water pipes and slamming doors each morning. Breakfast was only served between 7am and 8am and was served in a very small bar - on bar furniture! A television was on - the programme continuously belching out false laughter - which one of the residents turned up. In our room - a strip of wood on the wall (which was meant to be a headboard) was all chipped. None of the three bedside lights were working - one plastic cover split and cracked, the others no light pull. Although the sheets were spotless, the mattress protector was covered in stains - disgusting. The toilet had brown stains and the grout around the tiles needed cleaned in some areas. There were chunks out the plaster where there had been other soap dishes or toothbrush holders. We did read the reviews before booking and were shocked at what we found. We hope other people read this!!!
Very cheap +++ Included breakfast The building has a nice exterior and reception
Room was bare Poor duvet and pillow Shower in room didn't drain properly Walls were paper thin Could hear toilet in main bathroom across the hallway dripping all night Could hear people showing in main bathroom across the hallway and in their rooms late at night/first thing in the morning Breakfast served early 7am-8am.
The staff were very friendly and have gone the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and happy. The food was well prepared and enjoyable and plenty. The eating area, room and walk way was very clean.
The toilet blow and bath area could take a little cleaner.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was fine. Rooms were spacious
In terms of location, it is a good walk from St. Margaret's Bus station. If you have luggage, it would be better to get a taxi or the 31/31A Bus.
terrible position. So far away with de man fort university .And so hard to find .The single room is bad and in the morning we wake up by noise.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms basic and clean.
One room had a damp quite strong smell, possible drains. Breakfast was awful, I would not recommend it.
Good breakfast, comfy hotel
The only choice at the 'bar' was a few cans
Very relaxed atmosphere in the property and the owner was smiling when I woke him up to let me in after I got caught in traffic on my journey to the property. All round good hotel.
Quiet location. Close to to town Breakfast was well presented and excellent waiter service Room was clean and tidy.
Shower tray had slow drainage.
Room was clean, nice breakfast and friendly staff.
Noisy plumbing, shared facilities not well looked after. Would definitely not stay again with shared facilities.
