Myself and my partner just wanted a night away to relax. This was the perfect place. Room was big with clean bathroom. Had a fab meal in the tavern followed by lots of drinks!!

Room was facing busy A road. Was a warm night and needed the window open which meant it was noisy from approx 7am. Not a lot of staff around the hotel -had to wait to check in/out for someone to come. My partner went to the car early in the morning and couldn't get back in as doors were locked - with no staff around I had to come down from my room to let him in!!!

The bedroom was quite spacious and even the bathroom was more than the usual size, although there were cobwebs hanging from the light to the shower rail

Arrive at the hotel at 4.30 pm and was told my room wasn't ready, had to wait until 5.30pm to get into the room, the excuse given was that the hotel was busy the previous night, not a good reason to give to the incoming guest who had endured a long days drive, whether it was a lack of cleaning staff or a failure to ensure departing guests vacated there rooms adequately, but 5.30 is not fair for a guest to check in, no compensation offered, checked out at 8am on Sunday, no one at reception

Went to make a hot drink in the room ... only to find no coffee no sugar only the empty sachets that someone had used before we got there ... no way of getting fresh air in the room (too hot in the night)

In a room that we were given there was no cold water in a shower. The receptionist did not know how to fix this and gave us another room - a tiny and shabby and old one on an undeground floor, with a single small window just several cantemetres above the ground. At that, the hotel did not reduce the price.

the sfaff were very polite nice and friendly couldn't do enough to accomadate us it was a really nice and very clean just to get away from home and we was made to feel very welcome the food was excellent we would go back every weekend if we had the money

the hair dryer and the telephone in room 8 was broken.

Very welcoming friendly staff . Good location near to centre. Excellent bar meals and good price drinks . Breakfast was cooked to order and was really good quality. Would certainly return

The bar had a good atmosphere of an evening. The hotel is in a good location for Barton Grange garden centre and 20 min from Preston. Garstang is a 5 min drive away and worth a visit.

When there is a function on you can hear it in the room. The good bar helps dull the noise

Location, easy to get to. Staff very friendly. Meals were good. Breakfast had good selection. Room was comfortable. We had a Back room which was quiet. Used as a stop over which worked well.

Friendly staff, large comfortable room, good food in tavern with a varied menu. Hot cooked breakfast with a good choice and plenty of juices, fruit and cereal.

The breakfast was freshly cooked and hot. Coffee & tea was plentyful.

The hotel decor is very dated and could do with a spruce up. Very dour in appearance. The shower over the bath had very poor water pressure and at best could be described as a dribble.

Room was quite tatty and had large cobwebs in 3 corners of the room

Friendliness of the staff. Room size, which was very spacious. The evening meal - good value for money and so convenient. The breakfast facilities and the choice offered.

The appearance of the hotel was a little shabby, although very clean and comfortable. The pillows were not very comfortable, but that is not unusual in hotels !

The staff were excellent could not do enough for you. The food was very nice too.

I do not think the hotel is value for money. The rooms are very dated and old fashioned. The hotel on the whole could do with a lick of paint. The breakfast isn't upto much either.

Room was pleasant & very clean.

Got locked out of front door at 9 pm & nobody had informed us of the entry code - eventually got in via the pub Enterance after being stood out in the rain for ages ringing the door bell which nobody answered. Woken up in the middle of the night by a false fire alarm with no apology from the hotel nor explanation as to why it went off. No hot water in the room so couldn't have a shower - front desk staff said they would turn the boiler stat up if we'd like to wait for it to warm up - we went to family close by for a wash. Would therefore not recommend this hotel to anyone!
