Room clean. Easy to find. Excellent evening meal in the tavern. Breakfast worth the money. Staff friendly.
We asked to arrive early due to heavy snow in our area. Our request was met - no problem however because we were early there was no heating in the room this was rectified immediately. Staff were extremely courteous at all times.
Size of room and bathroom. Nice thick curtains
Very noisy couple in next room enjoying themselves!! Woke us up very early in the morning.
Reception staff very helpful Room was comfortable
No tooth glass in bathroom No lift for disabled
staff and size of bedroom Food in pub area very good
Poor water supply weak shower pressure and cold water just dribble slight musty smell in corridors breakfast tea/coffee cold.
Good size clean room and bathroom, very good evening meal and breakfast ideal for me in between work at Carlisle and Preston.
The wedding was lovely. Room ok.
The staff were very poor. Treat us like we were a process rather than a customer. Eg. At bar. Asked to pay by card. Sent me to a garage 500 yards away. Then, returned later and they were using a card machine from another bar. Apparently the waitress I was being served by could not be bothered to get the machine. Other examples aswell.
The peace and quiet, good food and friendliness of the staff made it a lovely stay albeit short.
We always enjoy our stay at The Crofters. The staff are helpful and friendly.
Nice size room.the tavern was very good.
The stairs .the breakfast no choice. Staff not very helpful. Could do with agood clean in breakfast room especially the window bottoms.
The food, value for money, plenty of free parking, easy to find as it is on the main road. The bathroom which was brand new. The staff who were all friendly, helpful and attentive.
It was a convenient location for us as a stopover on our trip to Scotland. The bed was comfortable.
The smell on entry was musty and dirty, although the room itself didn't smell too bad. The food in the tavern was ok if you like a pile of chips, but in need of a good clean and revamp.
Big room, nice bathroom, friendly staff, excellent and well priced food. Great value.
Room heating and water temp. rather low.
Large comfy rooms, modern and Well decorated.
Very poor shower and water was warm not hot.
Good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, recently re-furbished bathroom which was excellent . The meal ordered and served in the bar was quick, tasty and good value for money as the excellent breakfast. We would have no hesitation in recommending to others.
When we complained about the state of the room carpet, we were given a clean room immediately.
Nobody at reception when we arrived, had to go looking for someone to check in. We were given a room of which the carpet was absolutely covered in stains.
Location, breakfast and first class service.
Stairs at entrance in room, and stairs into bathroom
comfortable room.reasonably priced,food and drink.
shower curtain was stained and found nail clippings on carpet
Good sized room very nice bathroom, nice new decoration, very helpful staff.
Poor choice of breakfast. Poor lighting in bedroom. Only one bedside lamp instead of two. No walk in shower which is no good if mobility not so good, could have done with a handle on wall to aid getting in and out of bath.
Great value for money. Good location for us. Good bar on site and neat and tidy rooms.
Rooms too hot. Heating on and temp was warm outside.
The staff were very helpful and the room was a good size with a comfortable bed. Reasonable value for money.
The room was not cleaned properly, for instance, I could not see the time on the bedside clock because of the dust! There were no glasses in the room and the shower was a trickle. In the evening there was a jewellery & clothing presentation in the downstairs function room with the presenter using a loud microphone. I heard every word from my room above. The breakfast was served on plates slightly bigger than side plates. The effect was that my full English was presented in a pile.
the warm welcome from staff the food was excellent the room was very big with 2 big beds and a decent sized bathroom
nothing not to like
Was told on the phone before booking there was only 13 steps up to the rooms, in fact there was 24 and was told the ground floor had full disabled access which was untrue
Great location for us
No staff available for check in or queries. Had to ask for further towels. No coat hangers in the wardrobe.
