Delightful, helpful staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast (scrambled egg would put many 4 and 5 star hotels to shame!). Convenient location for M6. Almost exactly half way between St Andrews and London. Extremely quiet. Easy, plentiful parking in hotel's car park. Well appointed, spacious room. Lovely views over golf course and surrounding countryside. Very good value for money.

Garstang is a small market town, within easy reach of Morecambe bay, Lake District and the Peninnes. The town does not have major stores but a very good selection of local businesses which adds to its charm. There are a range of pleasant rural walks in the area. Garstang is a lovely town on the outskirts of Preston. It has some lovely independent shops and plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs. The people we met while out and about were lovely and will definitely return.

Garstang is a beautiful little place, it's perfect for ramblers and business people as its on a main trunk road to lancaster/ blackpool and Preston. Its also in countryside so walkers are welcome and Garstang is just one of lots of villages with Cabus,Forton and others within good walking distance. It's a friendly place I would certainly recommend to others.

The town was pleasant, I took a walk by the river. There seemed to be a lot of pubs & cafes in the town. However, I was there to visit a friend in a care home so wasn't really there in a tourist capacity

Garstang was a lovely break from our motorway trip south. Lovely views of countryside and walks along the river, past boats and barges, with a good mix of traditional shops and modern supermarkets! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bath as well as a shower which was great. The staff were all friendly and helpful. And I had a very good meal of fish & chips in the evening and a buffet breakfast in the morning
