Good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, recently re-furbished bathroom which was excellent . The meal ordered and served in the bar was quick, tasty and good value for money as the excellent breakfast. We would have no hesitation in recommending to others.
When we complained about the state of the room carpet, we were given a clean room immediately.
Nobody at reception when we arrived, had to go looking for someone to check in. We were given a room of which the carpet was absolutely covered in stains.
Location, breakfast and first class service.
Stairs at entrance in room, and stairs into bathroom
comfortable room.reasonably priced,food and drink.
shower curtain was stained and found nail clippings on carpet
Good sized room very nice bathroom, nice new decoration, very helpful staff.
Poor choice of breakfast. Poor lighting in bedroom. Only one bedside lamp instead of two. No walk in shower which is no good if mobility not so good, could have done with a handle on wall to aid getting in and out of bath.
Great value for money. Good location for us. Good bar on site and neat and tidy rooms.
Rooms too hot. Heating on and temp was warm outside.
The staff were very helpful and the room was a good size with a comfortable bed. Reasonable value for money.
The room was not cleaned properly, for instance, I could not see the time on the bedside clock because of the dust! There were no glasses in the room and the shower was a trickle. In the evening there was a jewellery & clothing presentation in the downstairs function room with the presenter using a loud microphone. I heard every word from my room above. The breakfast was served on plates slightly bigger than side plates. The effect was that my full English was presented in a pile.
the warm welcome from staff the food was excellent the room was very big with 2 big beds and a decent sized bathroom
nothing not to like
Was told on the phone before booking there was only 13 steps up to the rooms, in fact there was 24 and was told the ground floor had full disabled access which was untrue
Great location for us
No staff available for check in or queries. Had to ask for further towels. No coat hangers in the wardrobe.
Not much but only there for one night,
Thought £79 for one night with no breakfast to expesive
Value for money was fair
Cold water in bathroom was warm, paper hanging off in bathroom, bathroom looked grubby.
Location and peace at night were great, couldn't have been better. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was very good. All in all very good value and would stay again.
Hotel probably needs a general refurbishment.
Lovely staff. Very friendly.
Our room was filthy. Stains all over the carpet and dust everywhere. Awful.
No heat in rooms. squeeky bed. walls to thin.
Good service, very good breakfast menu and prompt service
There was no one on reception on our outward journey despite ringing the bell for several minutes. Left a message regarding our return visit the following Friday
Great location, lovely room, good food.
Northern soul night
We stopped off to break up our journey to Scotland location was excellent, so was staff we were well looked after,
It was cheap and value for money but it could do with a lick or paint and updating bedroom decor, but overall a great place to stay..
Breakfast was overlooked.
Good value for money for a young couple looking to get away .
The bed was awful the mattress was that worn that any slight movement made a loud squeak , the food was poor an no menu was able to choose for breakfast , the room had a broken tap and the power of the shower was so awful it took half an hour to have a shower and wash your hair properly . Generally disappointed
We arrived very late due to a problem on the motorway. The staff were excellent. Couldn't do enough for us. Fresh food prepared at 10.30pm.......... Bedroom very good value for money. Wished we had been able to stay longer and enjoy the excellent facilities.
Staff very friendly and food good. Good location for what we wanted. Bed quite comfortable.
Our room was not very clean with lots of dust and bathroom not the cleanest.
