Driftwood Studio, with its verandah overlooking Evington Gardens and the sea, is just 150 metres from the pier. A large bay window and the terrace French doors allow light to flood into the property, while wooden floors and modern furnishings give it a contemporary, stylish and welcoming feel. The studio apartment has a really comfortable king size bed and a leather sofa. There is a shower room and separate kitchen which is equipped with a kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge and oven to make you feel at home and give you the freedom to eat in if you choose. There is a TV, radio and a hairdryer. Free WiFi is now installed. One of the main benefits is that Driftwood Studio is in such a great location - away from the main hustle and bustle, but a stone's throw away from shops, cafes and, of course, the sea! Sitting out on the terrace looking across to the sea is a wonderful way to pass a couple of hours. Parking spaces can be found outside on the street, although during busy times you may need to drive around the block to find a space. A NNDC car park is located about 80 metres away from the apartment. There is a short flight of steps to the main front door -please see photos.
We feel very lucky to live in this beautiful part of the world and look forward to welcoming you to Driftwood Studio. Whether, like us, you enjoy walks on the beach and weekend hot chocolates in quirky cafes, or whether you want to use the apartment as a base to explore everything North Norfolk has to offer, you are sure to enjoy your time spent in Cromer. Please note that although Driftwood Studio is a 'ground floor' apartment, there are about half a dozen steps up to the front door of the main building.
We love the cosmopolitan feel that Cromer provides and Driftwood Studio is perfectly placed to take advantage of the whole of North Norfolk. The popular Coasthopper bus runs regularly from just down the road and Cromer Station is a short walk away and can take you to Sheringham, North Walsham or to the beautiful city of Norwich which is about an hour away by train. The National Trust's beautiful Felbrigg Hall is less than 2 miles away. Driftwood Studio is well located for the beach which is less than 5 minutes walk away. Cromer Pier has regular events all year round, and it's a great place to go crabbing too! Located just on the edge of the town centre, you can walk to the main shops in under 5 minutes and there's a huge range of cafes, tea shops and restaurants almost on your doorstep - so you can eat breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner at a different place every day during your stay! There are certainly several independent cafes within 100 metres if you want to nip out for breakfast! Cromer has its own small cinema and there is live music, quizzes etc at many of its popular pubs in the evenings - come enjoy everything this beautiful town has to offer soon
